Amazon... it's an internet thing. I've been kicking it around the tool bench for a few months waiting for the next opportunity to light up a tune and really "get some groceries" on a test drive.

 

Hello everyone, does anyone knows if VF tuner software will work with 2014 5.7 flex fuel? I’m new to tunes and to be honest don’t even know what this tune will do with truck, I do not have supercharger, the only thing is that I installed 315/70/17 and I can definitely feel loss in power. Maybe this tune can fix that idk. Thanks

Yea it has about 5 modes it can do plus the locker. Mine was flashed with a 100ft lb custom tune and had upgraded turbos. You can have it in AWD or 4 wd high or Low or 2 wd. Honestly even with the class at the race track there is too much tech in it. The rentals from the class felt broken after driving mine to get there. But At 8000 miles it was already making cam noises. I would seriously doubt the motor would hang to 100k miles the way I drive. Stuff was falling apart on it in less than a year. But my Tundra will probably last forever .

 

Can’t wait for 2020 Tune. I work at a Toyota dealership and quite a few of us are interested!

 

So... What do you think corporate Toyota thinks about lil ole Mat developing code that an entire team of Toyota developers could only dream about producing?

hey guys, pushing out more updates today through friday for the last few.

Also I am back in the Tundra for some seat time and code finishing.

I have verified something that our direct shift control and S Mode code can do, but wanted to know if any of you guys cared for this feature:

The ability to drive, from a complete stop in 2nd or 3rd gear. (skipping first).

 

The starting in gear 2 or 3 is a GREAT feature and yes, I'd love to have that option! Great for towing in slippery conditions!

 

I think that this could be very useful in snowy or icy conditions where traction is limited. This may be of interest to owners of 2WDs particularly where they wouldn't have the option of simply flipping into 4WD.

 

Ok thanks! just wanted to ask you guys because it will be standard in the code and don't want anyone freaking out thinking something is wrong with the transmission if it skips a gear.
Basically if you are at a stop in S1, upshift it (still at a stop) to s2 or S3, then when you start driving you will be in 2nd or 3rd.

I would like that feature I 4WD. My LandCruiser had that and with the lower gears it was perfect in 4LO taking off in 2nd

 

Oh, that hadn't occurred to me even having often done that in my MT Tacoma. Thanks for bringing that up.

 

I had 4.88’s and a gear reduction in my transfer case in the LC. I worked with the OD button on the shifter to compensate. It worked similar to our Tow/Haul button by changing the shift pattern

 

Thats awesome! Cant wait for this. I will use this in the grass I am always laying a patch in the wet grass pulling the boat or camper out from the yard. Pain to put it into 4 wheel to move the camper or boat 100ft to the driveway on level ground. Petal is to touchy for my preference stock. Plus snow and ice will be awesome as traction control kicks in way to late in my opinion.

Hey guys, the "corrupted error" seems to be only on 0CM51 files.
but we are at a loss at the moment as to why, because this is same as our development truck and I hand tested the files myself on my truck, flashed no problem.
SO.... we are still trying to figure this out. sorry

 

Sounds like a useful feature at a wet boat ramp to me My tune is fairly well sorted out with all of the revisions and tweaks, But eventually looking forward to the final release. Rob - Order #4496

 

I think that this was merely an update to what was already included, features were not added if you didn't already have them.
