Sorry, some medical appointments have got in the way.
Currently on the dyno right now with another product, but we are actively working on everything as fast as possible.

Looks like if you have Facebook, that's where you can catch a glimpse of what's going on with the tundra. I don't have FB, but I logged into a friend's and saw on the OV page, that his truck had a coolant leak. :pccoffee:

Are they working off the Magnuson or Harrop? I don't have FB either...

We've been a bit behind on everything at the moment.. from coolant leaks and parts not fitting to a baby due in 3 weeks it's been a little hectic.

No worries. Gives me a little more time to save up the $$$ for the supercharger. Sure hope the FFV tuning problems are a thing of the past!

Myself and @MrMax have Magnuson SCs as well as flex fuel trucks and we both will tell you his tunes are near perfect compared to the bully dog that came with the kit. I would imagine the harrop unit will be quite good. I personally like the Magnuson because of their experience with tundra/TRD superchargers.

How much more hp, if any, do you think the Harrops will push? With your current setup, do you think the magnuson is more than enough giddie up?

Thank you ... I know magnuson manufactured the TRD supercharger back in the day. That's why I'm hesitant to go with harrop (a company I've never heard of) and their price is almost 12 grand for the charger. I mean, for say 50 less horsepower with the Magnuson...I'd be gladly to pay half the price. Reliability will be key with me. I don't wanna push the motor too hard without a forged bottom end. Just patiently waiting for the Guinea pigs to test the waters then ill jump on board

Agree 100% about the way the truck runs, shifts, etc. Also agree that if I had to make the call again today I would order another Magnuson. I think it is perfectly suited for the truck power wise and should be dead reliable. I don't want or need for any more power as I feel this truck is maxed out balancing power and reliability. I understand some guys look at these 6000# trucks like hot rod's and may want more, more, more...and I get it...is why I have toys in the garage that were actually meant to be fast in the first place. I'm sure the Harrop and upcoming Whipple are both nice units and would be great on either a built motor or running a conservative tune, but this motor has its limits, and guy's with a pulley'd Magnuson have already found that out...

Back on point...if you are SC and FFV Matt and OVTune have the solution to make your truck right.

I didn't have many issues with the BD tune either and it made good power, but my truck is stock power-train wise other than the SC and also running stock size tires and gears. My only issue with the BD was it shifted like crap when it was cold and under hard acceleration. That and after seeing a few dyno/air fuel sheets other guys posted I did not trust the tune in the upper rpm's...lean...ping. I pretty much kept mine below 4k rpms and drove it for over 2 years while I waited for someone to come along with a tune I could trust.

Very true on everything you said and I also belive the Tundra transmissions are only rated to 550 lbs- ft torque max. I'm in the Philippines right now and you can get 95 or 93 octane, wish I could find 95 or 93 back home:frusty:

I see most of the tune discussion here is geared towards FFV and supercharged trucks. Is there any real benefit to paying for an OV Tune for a NA 2018?

I absolutely believe there is. You may not get near the extra power a SC truck will get with the tune, but as long as everything is as he says it will be (I also believe it will be), the truck will perform it's very best with this tune. I want every bit of power my truck will produce safely. I want it to shift right, tow right and stay in damn 6th gear when I want it in 6th gear. I never plan on spending 8-12 grand for a SC. But I'll sure as hell spend a few hundred on making what I have, the best it can be. I've read every stich of information I could find about what he is doing with our trucks and what he has already done for the Tacoma. And you know what...? It's fvcking awesome! Please excuse my French. I can't wait. :oldglory:

I do think the BD puts out more power in the higher RPMs BUT, at what cost? Reliability is more.important to me the overall power. This is my truck.. not my race vehicle. Those are 2 distinct different things.

The Harrop kit is really realy nice and we are expecting 600+ all said and done. Our end goal is to have a perfect tune for the harrop that provides more power and torque than the magnuson while maintaining complete reliability.
The engine can certainly handle more than 600HP. In almost every case of blown engine I've read about in the past there was a distinct lack of adequate tuning.

As far as quality of Harrops components, they are top notch. It also cost way less than $12k. We can get you a tuned kit for a steal right now if you really wanted it.

With our 4th of July sale, if anyone really wants a harrop with tuning we could get it to you for $8400 (full kit + tune package)

Yes our primary focus at this time is flex fuel trucks, but tuning the FFV and non FFV really isn't that different.

Everyone has been asking for this but we don't have any timeline right now for such a thing. With our current 4JULY19 dicsount you can get it cheaper than ever already. a Group buy discount wouldn't be much different than this 10% off
