Gotta make the hose happy for sure, might get both and experiment. Plus who has only one nipple anyway? :monocle:

I bought the short one because i thought i read about it hanging down too low and people were worried about it being hit and sheared off. Not sure if this is true or not. :notsure: I bought the plastic fitting that snaps on to the tiny nipple that still allows you to attach a hose to it.

Just remember if you switch from plastic to the metal oil filter cover you need to put the center part from the plastic one into the metal one. You need the longer one in the metal cover so you don't crush the filter.

No issues with mine, I would think if you snap that off you probably did more damage to other things.

Jim, you probably never will, I'm pretty sure i read it here somewhere and decided not to take a chance. But then again I'm pretty anal about my new Tundra. :)

Some vehicles have plugs that points straight down, and the longer valve would be at more risk. Something like the Tundra's angled plug doesn't have the same risks.

Sadly, no tank info. I even downloaded "full specs"
I see nothing in the documentation with the truck that tells me
I guess I will run it low and find out empirically.

Easier way to tell: Do you have a center console or a bench seat up front? If you have a bench seat you have the smaller fuel tank.

This is your truck, yes? If so, you don't have the SR5 Upgrade Package, and I believe that's the only way to get the bigger tank in the SR5 trim. Unless it's part of the leather package, but I can't confirm or deny that as I never looked into that package.

I just looked at my window sticker, and it seems you need to have the SR5 upgrade package to get the 38 gal. tank. Hope this helps.
