Looking to place an order for all three plates but wanted to ask real quick. I will soon have an OME lift (should be 2.5 to 3 inches according to OME). Will the regular plates fit with this lift? Thanks in advance.

Did you order in July or earlier?

 

Just throwing this out before I have my mechanic install my plates. I haved looked over the posts a lot and may have missed it. This is just for the Pro owners. I assume you are not getting any metal noises where the big plate slides into the Pro skid plate correct. I don’t want to try and install these without my truck being on a lift. Just making sure I’m not missing anything. Thanks.

 

So, today I finished welding out the 6 1/8” steel front skid plates, they should be going to powder coat tonight. I wanted to push and do more, but I am exhausted and I don’t want to make mistakes. I had a lovely visit to the emergency room last night for my wife… I should be getting the new Z brackets tomorrow and I will be sending all of the ones that need to go to powder coat tomorrow. The bare plate orders that have been waiting for these to ship will ship asap.

Also, the BDS lift adapters are made (I had 2 made) and one is at powder coat for my test vehicle. I am hoping to fit this up this weekend to start offering this to all those with BDS lifts.

Also coming in the next batch of aluminum will be Aluminum front skid plates. I need hash out pricing, but it will be the same design EXCEPT there won’t be welded nuts, it will be rivnuts.

I have a new Tacoma and the gen before new Tacoma getting set up to design full plate sets like the Tundra. I will be adding 4Runner to this aswell afterwards.

And last but not least, I am going to cut up the last old style front skid plate I have to make a prototype for the subframe lifted trucks. I am trying to line up an 8” Readylift as the first test fit and then I will be reaching out to all those in Houston with different subframe lifts to make sure the prototype fits them all including procomp, Readylift, rough country, BDS and maybe some others.

I have built up a good family of friends in this area and I am putting them to use to make more for all of you!

Wow, wish you would’ve posted this yesterday. Just ordered cat plates from another vendor for my Son’s Tacoma.

I am not getting any noises between the TRD Pro skid plate and the middle plate...(or the middle to the rear plate). While doing an oil change, the dealer threw the middle plate on for me (and I only had three bolts tight because I had to use a die grinder to enlarge the plate hole a bit due to my upgrade to the 1/2" Grade 8 bolts on the plate). I've made a few posts on this thread about my journey to install these plates, very pleased with them.

 

Sorry to hear about your wife's accident. Same happened to my wife a few years back. Lots of bruising and soreness. Hope she heals quickly

Ok! I have shipped almost the last of the aluminum from the last batch, I will likely finish it off tomorrow. I am going tomorrow morning to pick up the new Z brackets! I will begin shipping the bare steel orders ASAP. AND!!! The aluminum batch that was at laser cut is going to be ready next week! I’m whooped from doing double duty doing my wife’s work, my work and making sure she is fine. I am very happy to keep pushing through these orders and keep production moving. Y’all have been great in being patient with me and I can’t thank y’all enough!

I picked up most of the new Z brackets! I will be shipping out some bare steel today, I dropped the remaining brackets I had at powder coat. They rest will be ready likely on Monday

 

For reference on how far behind orders are, I bought a new induction range from Best Buy early September. Was supposed to be here 11/8, new expected date is 12/10. Bought new glass shower doors from HD online. After a month and a half, found a similar set in store, canceled online order.
Patience is key right now getting stuff delivered.

 

I am sorry about your Wife Tyler, hope she heals quickly.

 

My wife is healing. She is only taking pain meds to sleep, or when she moves the wrong way. I see that as a good thing.
