Valhalla’s Shield theft deterrent/skid plates info and ordering post

From your first post in this thread, the 5/8 and 3/8 are for the cat plates, leaving 4 1/2-in bolts to be for the engine skid. Do you have pictures showing where these bolts are on the engine skid or an installation guide for the engine skid?

 

I haven’t made a guide for the front skid plate, but there are 4 1/2” bolts holding the “mid plate” of the front skid plate in.

I just got off the phone with a plasma cutter, I am taking my load of aluminum to him tomorrow and we will make sure everything is right, and we will be getting plates cut again!!!

This company might be the reason I am forced to get a real shop

Just curious…are you bending these on a press brake or using some other method? Wondering about the cuts/gaps in the joints.

 

Looks great, but from someone who ordered steel cat plates on May 12th and hasn't received them yet, I don't really want to see you working on a prototype skid plate.

 

It is not a prototype skid plate. It is a production skid plate that I requested on May 12 as well, along with both cat plates. I have been waiting just like everyone else.

 

Quality takes time and Tyler's transparency and honesty are a rare trait these days.

 

Good news, the cut lines are likely going to disappear. They are bent in a press brake, just a much larger one is going to be used at the new place

 

Quality is not what’s holding things up. It’s unethical individuals that threw a monkey wrench int Tyler's world and screwed with his business thus affecting output.

 

So, ETA?

Hey Tyler just wondering on the status of my order Order: R262250133 | Date: 2021-05-20. Me and my family are moving to texas from California to execute military orders. We are suppose to check in our new command in September. I'm hoping I could them bolted on soon, I don't want those thieving bastards stealing my cats while on the road at rest stops. Thanks bro! I am sending 9 sets of 1/8 steel to powder coat this week, I am not sure where that lands with your order, I am on my phone waiting for a train. But I will will easily get this order done before September

 

Well, I just dropped off the aluminum at the new plasma cutter! I am on my way to pick up the 3/16 steel I ordered awhile ago to drop off to him. I would expect them to be cut and bent at the end of next week or the beginning of the following week.

Tyler so it sounds like the plates will be made even nicer what you are saying with the new plasma cutter. Correct.

 

Yes! Cleaner cuts, stronger bends, better in every way. Also, all new plates being cut from now on are doing away with the 3/8 bolts, I am moving to 1/2 bolts at the rear of the front cat plate, it is one of the upgrades I am planning for version 3 and it will help the procomp guys too

 

Very cool! Just out of curiosity, how much do you think the cut lines weaken the plates? I have the 1/4" Al plates with all the cuts.

 

I honestly don’t think an amount that you will ever need.

 

Does this batch of aluminum include orders up to a certain date?

 

If you don’t have a tracking number already for 3/16 aluminum, then chances are good. I have 5 front cat plates and 4 rear cat plates in 3/16 aluminum going to powder coat

 

What about the bare 3/16 aluminum? Or is that what is going to the cutter right now?

 

Sounds good. I still did not put my order in. So I’m glad I waited. My security bolts I bought in a group buy will still work correct.

 

3/16 aluminum and 3/16 steel is getting done in this batch, if all goes well, I am going to drop the hammer and really piss my wife off and give him an order for ALL plate orders and have pallets of plates laying everywhere

 

I doubt it would change anything, worse case, you may need a wider washer
