Crap situation. As said above....really like the transparency. Crap happens and most will understand. I for one would rather wait for a shipment from a company like you, than with one that tells me nothing or feeds me B.S.

So, I put a yell for help out and it has been answered, we are reverse engineering the plates to make dxf files. I am making minor changes to these (changes that will happen in V3) but not making the jump quite yet. I want to get back up and running and make V3 when timing works. I will be able to have my truck on a lift to make the V3 adjustments. I am hoping to be cutting again some time this week

@Classy63 You need to protect your intellectual property...it would be worth some money to spend with a lawyer on developing Terms and Conditions of Purchase with your business partners. Hell, you probably could pull a template off the internet and tweak it to accommodate your need.

A lawyer will be coming into this not just for future but to go after the guy who is holding the files hostage. From here forward, I will be protected. I was too nice and trusting

That’s sucks. So I assume this guy is going to start making the plates and selling them on here if he stole your design.

The problem with honest folks is that we believe everyone is as we are...honest. I'd own his ass - go for the throat.

I've learned two valuable lessons over the years:

    1. "If you are giving money to a person without a contract, it's a gift, not a loan." - Judge Judy
    2. DTA - Don't Trust Anyone.

Got mine today and installed it! I have the TRD Pro skid plate, but I was easily able to squeeze my wrist/arm in there to use a box wrench on that top crossmember. I also didn’t remove the front TRD Pro skid, just loosened it so I could fit the front cat plate up and into those slots. I didn’t have a Home Depot bucket, so I used a small Igloo cooler to hold up the back end of it while I lined it up.

The only snag I came across was with the external heat shield on my universal Magnaflow cats (all 4 of my OEM cats got stolen about 2 months ago). The rear top crossmember nut wouldn’t fit since the new cats were in the way. I went to Home Depot to find a thinner, flatter 3/8” coarse nut and that did the trick. I’m guessing no such problem exists for those who still have their OEM cats. Just thought I’d mention this, though, for those poor souls who got theirs stolen and went with aftermarket units to be aware of a potential issue in that respect.

Only other issue I had was that I also had to make a run to Harbor Freight to get a 1 1/8” socket and wrench for the Z-plates. I started the install without realizing I lacked that size socket and wrench.

All in all it was a fairly easy and straight forward install. If an over-the-hill, 55 yr old “has-been” can do it in an apartment parking lot in the heat and humidity of a blazing Texas summer day, anyone can do it!

My favorite Judge Judy quote is that's a bunch of who shot John.

Why do I know that means bullshit?

    lol

Very happy to hear this (TRD SKID not a problem) as I have one.

    Thanks!

Yes, I was a little concerned after reading issues some have had trying to reach those top nuts. I laid down with my feet facing the rear and just reached my arm in between that little space. It looks like there’s no room, but I was able to figure it out. Lining up the front plate into the rear skids slots was more difficult, I thought, but even that was fairly easy.

Towed my 5000 boat to FLA with the Vahalla plates installed. 600 miles each way. My plate temp equalized meaning the whole plate at about 150F. My engine coolant temp stayed at 195F and my trans temp at 75 mph was 205F ( I have a trans cooler). So in my opinion the shields do not adversely affect the trans temps. I was surprised the whole plate got to 150F not just by the Cats. I have the steel plates painted black. I guess 11 hours of driving will do that, lol. Aluminum plates should be cooler if so desired.

Sucks to hear about that. Hopefully every thing works out well for you in the end.

Also, I finally got around to ordering the security bolts. Will you automatically be able to link my two orders by email or whatever or should I pm you with the two order numbers so you only have to ship to me once. Thanks

This is some real world testing! It is warmer than otherwise reported before, but that is a lot of load and it isn’t exactly cold outside! You are correct about aluminum dissipating heat better though.
You don’t need to reference your orders, I have a list in my garage I am referencing to orders

Ordered a set and security fasteners a few days ago here too…. Take your time and get things going again. I’m a patient guy and like to support innovators that back their products!

Saw someone on Reddit pitching some plates that look very similar to yours, with a different center logo… guessing that is your “buddy” trying to cash in eh?

@Classy63 - - Tyler - - about to pull the trigger on all three stages, in steel. I'm squinting with a little doubt about a thing... I have a service contract with Toyota - they're changing my oil 6 more times before it expires, and I'm a little scared those knuckleheads will whine about a tool not fitting or a bone in their toe keeping them from doing what I've already paid for because of the jewelry hanging off the undercarriage. Do you have any comment on that? Under non-knucklehead conditions, should Toyota of Plano be good getting their jobs done with your engine skid in place?
