For those who have removed the small differential plate skid, did you reinstall the bolts or leave them out? Looks like they need to be re-installed without the skid, but cannot tell for sure from the pictures.

I put them back in so they don’t get lost, but they don’t have to go back in

Same here. I like doing just that just so dirt or anything else doesn't get trapped in there.

Thank you Tyler! These were hard to install being a 1 man show so gave up after 5 minutes and had it done at a local shop my buddy owns. They had issues with getting bolts out of TRD Skid so we used the OEM bolts there. Here of some pics with the Screwd bolts as well.

No TRD skid plate, and not bragging, but I got mine on by myself, took 3 hours, but being aluminum and the front wheels on ramps, I got er done. I did download the instructions, and had them at the ready. The plates are coming off so I can get the truck NHoil'ed, so I'll paint them and throw them back on with security bolts.

Any chance you'll make the front skid plate in aluminum?

You're not bragging. I didn't want to say anything, but I also did it by myself and it's a one man job, but I know my way around cars and now trucks. I did use a bucket to give me a hand, but that's about it. If you feel like you need a hand always ask for it. It's cheaper if you ask for someone to give you a hand than ending up with a gash because you were too stubborn. Men are men though and if we weren't stubborn sometimes shit wouldn't get done.

Ordered ¼" neked aluminum front and rears yesterday. Figured I'd be proactive. Can't wait to pick them up!

    Mods, what mods?
The latest GB was organized by me. I currently have @Photoweekender @mech_engineer09 @Vinnces down for interested in the next one. I can add you to the list as well.

FYI, I am not making any money off of this and truth be told, I'm pulling a @Classy63 and losing money on shipping. All good though, I believe in positive karma, especially with the knuckleheads hitting our trucks the way they are.

I would suggest selling a package deal that includes stainless washers and lock nuts that either offsets or eliminates your loss in shipping. It would be a win-win as you wouldn't lose $ and everyone doesn't have to hunt for the other hardware for those bolts.

I was wondering the same here. I just ordered the bare aluminum as I will be painting and installing myself. I wanted the lighter weight ...... I’m getting old, well I guess some think I’m old. lol

Just placed my order as well for the set. My local sheriffs Dept just published a PSA about a local ring going after converters.

Aluminum plates, didn't want something that would rust.
Spray paint, something from Auto Zone, I used engine paint just in case it gets hot but who cares its probably all the same junk and no one is ever going to see them, hopefully.

Installed today, brought out the electric impact, but did not use it, just used sockets and dog-bones.

yeah man you should at least make a couple of bucks off of it for your time and effort I don’t mind at all. Charge everyone an $5 or $10 and buy yourself some beer  Any way we can replace the 1.5” lg with 2” as I read on here that with the 1.5” lg there’s basically no threads sticking out of nut.
