    What is the point of being active and communicating without laying it all out there.

    oh, finally revision for the front skid plate (before version 3) will be done this weekend. Once I have those cut and powder coated I will take pretty pictures of all my products and post better pictures on my website

    also, I am going to add red to the color options on the website

    Is there a price difference between v2 and v3? I'm not in any rush and I'd be interested in making the truck a bit more serviceable without a full removal. I know you said that you had to get around to designing v3... did you have a timeline in mind?

    The front cat plate will be the same except for some added holes for the V3 front skid plate.

    I do not have a time line on V3. For 2wd folks, V3 will be V2 with an optional vertical guard on the rear cat plate

    Sorry, I should’ve been more descriptive. I got a quote of a little over $2500 aftermarket for both sides, including labor and O2 sensors. The quote for $9400 was for OEM - both sides. Was your $4500 OEM quote for both sides or one? If for both, maybe he misunderstood and thought it was for each side?

    Anyway, I looked online but couldn’t find a price for OEM cats for a 2015 Tundra. All I could find was a statement that they are “unavailable.” I may just call one of the local dealers and see what price they have them for once they’re available in 3 to 4 months.

    I called a local dealer this morning, and they gave me a quote of roughly $3500 for both sides. Cheaper than I thought, and definitely much cheaper than the $9400 quote I got from a local mechanic. Of course, they don’t have them in stock, and they don’t know when they’d get any.

    Mathematically impossible.

    Welding = instant 5
    Body = instant 3
    She is at 8/10 already. She could have a beard denser than mine under there and Id still give her a toss.

    Since I'm 2wd, when I get a chance I'm tossing around a couple of ideas to try for the vertical addition for us that already have the rear plates. I'll keep you posted.

    Its probably here in this 28 page epic thread but I havent been able to find how these integrate with the RCI front skid. Also, is there a video of the install anywhere? Id like to order a set but I just want to know what Im up against, install wise, before pulling the trigger.

    The dealer quoted OEM for $4500 for both sides. I saved one side as i caught them in the act and they ran away, but it is still cut. I wonder if I should just weld this one up and take it to someone that can weld stainless.

    I think I looked up parts at sparks: https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-front-pipe-174100s070?c=bD0xJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM=

    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-front-pipe-174500s200?c=bD0zJm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHM=

    State Farm would only pay aftermarket even after escalating it. Not sure how others are doing it, but they flat out said they wouldn't do it, even when I made it clear that the truck only has 25k and it is still under warranty. I will be looking for another insurance.
    Can you guys tell me which insurance company paid for OEM parts?

    You will have to drill holes in the RCI. There are a few of us that have done it.

    Sparks comes out to $2542 plus $295 freight. Still cheaper. If you're local to them, you might be able to get it for cheaper.

    My suggestion is that we keep this thread on topic so that we do not harm @Classy63 's business. He has put a lot of effort into providing a service to us and I would hate for us to harm that in any way. I know the posts about his former assistant are all in fun, but let's keep it on target for Tyler. (For her sake as well.)

    Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks for the info and the links to Sparks. I doubt they have them in stock, but I plan to call them tomorrow to see if they have an idea how long the wait is.

    And yeah, my insurance only covers aftermarket - what they call “third party vendors.” It depends on the policy contract. I’d have to pay any balance over what their aftermarket costs. I suppose if you can find an insurance carrier that offers OEM, albeit at a higher premium, then that would be the way to go.

    But the Sparks price is actually very good and roughly equal to or maybe just a bit more than their “third party vendor” price list. For me, it’s no longer the price but the long wait for them to be available.
