Thanks for the progress update, I'm paranoid to park my truck in Downtown Denver anymore with the rampant catalytic converter thefts, the repair bill to replace my cats and fix my transmission damage was $5800 so I'm anxious to get these skid plates since I have to park in some undesirable area for work.

Man that's not bad mine was 7300 just for the cats and they still won't know if there is damage to the ecu until the cats can be put on.

I have read that as well. Unfortunately it's been a week out or so for a few weeks. I'm sure it takes time to design something to add on that wasn't meant to have add ons in the first place. I'm interested to see how it would work short of buying a new transmission plate, but I don't want to hijack this thread.

This may be a stupid question, but I just don't want to bug Tyler. I received my front plate but not sure when the rear will show up. Can I install it or do I need to wait for the rear?

I would say wait for it, but go ahead and PM him, he checks that more often than this thread as it gets pretty overloaded.
If he says within a week I say hold it if not then do it.

I wouldn't say it interferes with the bumper, just the longer than normal plate on the tow hook. Seems like you can just cut the plate on the tow hook a little shorter to fit within the bend of the skid and sandwich the skid between the truck and tow hook. Sometimes that's just just part of the game, especially when two aftermarket parts that weren't designed to work with one another are put together.

Cutting the tow hook short might work, but the fitment of the new tow hook with the bumper needs to have it tight to the frame to properly mount to the bumper. I will just have to pull the plate down and make bigger holes to allow bolting.

Don’t be afraid to ask me questions, that wasn’t the intent of the previous message.

I have nothing with fed ex right now and I don’t think anything will ship this week. I just got back from picking up half the load of plates, dropping it off with the powder coater, stopping by the metal supply and now I am finally home. I am going to be welding in between other things, but I have to unload my trailer, go get the other half, take it to the powder coater to separate what I keep and he keeps to coat. Unload it again, and back to welding. I also have to prepare for my all weekend of racing where I leave Friday morning. My car is currently in the shop getting the clutch replaced by someone else so I can have time to work. That being said, once I get it back I have more work to prep it and loading up my truck and trailer.

However, after this weekend and maybe a lazy slow Monday as I will likely be exhausted, I will not be racing at all until June. So I will be working 7 days a week again on trying to catch up on orders.

PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS AS AN EXCUSE!!! I am just letting y’all know where everything sits. I am trying to knock out the rest of the aluminum welding this week even with everything else that is going on. This includes a rear cat plate with the spine and gusseted Z brackets

@Classy63 would you mind giving us some insight into what all you do with the plates? Obviously you outsource the powder coating, but you mention welding them yourself. So are you getting rolls of metal and doing the full production yourself, or what?

I contract out the cutting and bending of the plates as well as powder coating, I am welding the last of the aluminum I have here, but after this it will also be outsourced. I am going to be down to customer service, project management and shipping shipping shipping

I know I've seen it somewhere in here, but I'm not sure what they're called...
I ordered the pentagon bolts from Valhalla, but someone mentioned some sort of protectors for them. Can someone point me in the right direction on these?

I need to make a new post with important information for y’all to populate and when I have time move it to the main post

So, I am whooped and I needed to sit down. I welded the first gusseted Z brackets and rear cat plate spine.

Just got an order in for a full 1/4" aluminum set. I am glad your product is bringing you great success, even if there are growing pains. Best of luck to you and your business, I hope you can find the work and life balance everyone deserves.

That's why I am asking, he was working on a third gen with backward compatible for V2.
I mean, I am in no hurry, and he will let me know if a fitment is needed, I am 20 mins away from him :)

I was hoping that someone could help me out here. I have no idea where these 2 pieces go. For reference, I have the front, middle and rear plates for a 2018 Tundra 4x4. Thanks a bunch!
