I didn’t remove the little OEM skid on the transfer case, just pushed rear plate up tight. Have others had rattling from this contact?

Yes, many have had rattling from leaving the transfer case skid in and many have gone back and removed it. The snall transfer skid is not needed since the Valhalla plate provides much more protection for the transfer case.

Did you need the TRD nut plate? Thank you for this. I have full RCI skids, so looking at keeping engine skid and replacing the transmission skid with this set up.

Mine didn’t rattle at all. It vibrates the entire truck, not a lot, just that little ‘buzz’ you can feel in the wheel and the brake pedal. Took out the plate and it’s gone truck feels like it did before.

That’s great information and much appreciated. I haven’t driven it yet but will be clued into that.

I did rubber mount both front and rear plates except for where they contact the transfer case skid plate.

Well, trying to install my new bumper and the new tow hooks won't work with my plates. Not sure what to do. I've tried them above and below the plate.
When they are below the plate they are too long and hit the bend in the metal. When they are above the plate the holes don't line up to put the bolts through.

The dimensions of our trucks aren't always perfect, so when it came to install my VS skid, the holes didn't line up perfect. You can drill or grind those holes out in no time.

Looks like you might have to put the plate on the bottom and do some slight drilling. It might just mean you need to elongate the hole a bit. Looks like not by much.

What bumper and tow hooks are you putting on? This might need to be a requested mod if someone has that specific setup.

Times can vary based on what material and thickness you ordered and if you are getting them bare or powder coated. Seems like most have said it's taken about 8-10 weeks lately.

@Classy63 wanted to check in on order R961293840.

I ordered as a guest and can't check status on the site (oops). Just looking to make sure I'm still in the queue. 1/8 with black powder coat.

    Thanks!

I ordered 1/8” plates (both) with black powder coat, and I am right at 4 weeks. Tyler said that one thing that increases wait times is shipping. He has to prep all of the plates (and parts) for shipping, then hand them off to a parcel carrier. I am fortunate enough to live 2 hours away from his shop, so I opted to drive over and pick mine up to reduce my wait as well as shipping cost. Once mine are ready and he contacts me, I’ll be quickly on the road to pick mine up.

While I am as anxious as everyone else waiting for their plates, I am not going to bug Tyler as to the status of my order. That only prolongs the wait for myself and everyone else as he has to wade through all of the status requests as well as the questions from potential customers who are making inquiries prior to ordering. I would rather he had more time to spend on the pre-sales questions and the production of the plates than have to try to deal with impatient customers (which would include me were I to ask him where my order is at on the list). He is a one man operation, and he’s working hard to get all of our orders out.

Here is an update for everyone, I have started getting 3/16 steel back from powder coat and the beginning of 1/8 steel. Tomorrow I am going to pick all of this up, and this isn’t even everything. When I say I am trying my best, this gives you an idea of how much I have to process through. I will be sending out pick up notices hopefully Wednesday for what I have. I am finding it harder and harder to keep up with messages and emails… I am still answering but I am overwhelmed. Thursday and Friday I spent welding aluminum but I only put a dent in it, I need another day to push through it. For the future, I am pretty sure I will have welding contracted out since I simply don’t have time for it.

I am taking some of Thursday, Friday through Sunday off to go racing. I will still be in communication with everyone, probably better than I have been but I will not touch a plate all weekend

Also, I will no longer reply to order checks in this thread, send me a message email or contact me through Facebook

This is unfortunately a case where 2 things were not designed to fit with each other. My personal opinion is to either modify to the tow hook to fit under my plate, or modify my plate to fit the tow hook, I would want the skid plate as close to the truck as possible and the tow hooks being alittle low isn’t such a big deal. I would love to see the pictures of all of this done, I haven’t seen this bumper on a tundra yet

Uh oh. I was also looking at the Ironman bumper. Going to be a big problem if the Valhalla front skid interferes with aftermarket bumpers!
