I actually do. The TRD/PRO nut plate would make it much easier

Hey Tyler, placed an order last week for barebones 1/8th steel both plates with shipping out to Canada. Was looking for a rough time estimate on the plates.

    Thanks looking forward to em

Actually, I should have these plates in about 2 weeks, shipping them out will take alittle more time

Yeah I just saw those on your site, I might have to buy some for the next time I take these plates off and put them back on. Any pictures of them in use?

I haven't used mine yet, but it's gotta be easier than trying to tread that nut on each skid plate bolt..

Oh yeah that would be way easier! Does this utilize the same 5/8x4 bolts that are provided for the front mount? They look smaller but maybe my eyes are deceiving me.

I was happy to find a MacGyver solution using these https://tinyurl.com/bdmvc4u2 and reaching up with a pry bar to hold them steady and I tightened the nuts from below, but I don't love how low the huge nuts end up hanging down :rimshot: So this would be a much cleaner solution. I think Tyler must have developed this nut plate after I bought my plate last year and never installed it lol. I think I have an OG V1 plate!

I bought Tyler's security bolts so I'm not sure if it's the same thread as the stock bolt.
I'm sure @Classy63 will let us know..

The nut plate uses 3/8 bolts because that is what is used on the TRD/PRO plate (essentially the metric equivalent)

I am officially into February now with what I have to ship, I am still going!

So if I am ordering a nut plate because I have an RCI engine skid and want easy installation, should the pentagon bolt package selected be:
    "8-bolt" or "TRD PRO 8"

Based on your post, it seems as if the difference is bolt diameter on the two bolts to accommodate the TRD PRO 3/8" bolts and I should order this?

Correct, for ordering with the RCI, order like you have the PRO plate. I need to change the wording on that stuff to make it more clear

Pretty sure your active presence on this forum and being able to get clarification straight from the source makes up for it. Certainly did for me! Just placed an order for red powder coated front and rear with security bolts.

Great, thanks. I'll kind of miss the monster 5/8 bolts, but I sure will prefer an easier install.

So, an idea I have been toying with is making a nut plate for the 4x4 rough country lifts. If I did, you could get this and it would have 1/2” bolts in it

Nice, yeah that wouldn't be bad at all to have. I'll all about overengineering just for the hell of it too lol. I'll keep tabs here and 100% place an order when the time comes. Keep up the great work man

Received my front cat plate yesterday and installed last night. Very impressive quality.

Now waiting to order a matching v3 rear plate when it’s available.

A dye pack like they put in bank robbery situations would be great. Permanent orange or red dye that would take months to wear off the miscreant's skin/face. Maybe just dye that would match your custom Valhalla plates so it would touch up any scratches.

@Classy63 and @1lowlife - Tyler, thank you very much! I received the front cat plate yesterday and the rear plate this morning! Brother, they are heavy and really nice!

I also ordered the Rock Hard 4X4 Rock Dome collars that @1lowlife ordered and posted the info here. Thank you 1LL!

As a little note on the Rock Domes - on the RockHard4X4 website I placed 8 of these in the cart and proceeded to checkout for the shipping calculation. It showed "Shipping and Handling" $38.80. I sent them a nice email asking them to look at that charge because I would not pay that. I would be willing to pay a reasonable charge though.

Jason promptly replied and told me to place the order and put his name in the comments section so he can fix it. He said it is a website issue on his end but he'll take care of it.

I placed the order as instructed. Jason held true to his word and charged me $8.94 shipping and handling. This speaks volumes to me about this company!

I've been very happy with @Classy63 with my purchase of these shields! Highly recommended! Now I wait for the Rock Domes and the time to install them.

I'm gonna have to get off my ass and make mine get installed as soon as the Rock Domes arrive. That means the Mrs and I might be installing them via drop lights. I just can't wait!

I ordered the same set for my 2011 CM 2WD on 1/25, received the first week of April and installed them myself. Solid, good beefy build quality and worth the wait! As others have said, a furniture dolly or creeper is a big help if you install yourself. I also used a sealed, empty 5 gallon bucket on its side to help hold up the plate(s) while working to get them loosely installed.

Not sure if yours is 2WD or 4WD. Since mine is 2WD the rear plate is designed to fit around the transfer case and when Tyler comes up with a mod/add-on to close up the gap on the rear plate I'll order and add it (See Trailbreaker's post above for pics).

I had mine in Texas in a few days.
They ship out of St. Paul, Nebraska

Thank you! Since you're online right now, do you know if the Rock Domes also fit the two larger diameter bolts in the Valhalla Shields Pentagon Security bolt kit? I got the 8 bolt kit.
