I've had a Tacoma in the past, seating position is the #1 flaw. plus the tundra I could get two car seats and a booster in, reason why I traded!!

I mean, if you figure how many dollars you have to pay per mile to drive a Tundra, it kind of makes more sense to buy an older one with low miles [unless your going to keep the new one for a LONG time].

Sorry if I didn't pickup your level of mechanical expertise from earlier posts, but I would suggest you take a friend along who knows what to look for in used vehicles and have them sniff around both, if you are not as mechanically inclined. Besides, it's always good to have a second set of eyes on it even if you are a master mechanic. Heck, I always go with someone else when looking at a new vehicle, to play devil's advocate and keep me grounded so I don't go off all crazy about the color or whatever and loose sight of what's important to look into. The dealer is the DEALER and he is going to play from the bottom of the deck so never go it alone.

I've figured out that with 34's, every 230 miles I travel is actually 240. so its about 1.05 times more than my odometer reads. at least for the last 1500 miles I've had these tires. a small increase in tire size doesn't affect the mileage all that much

I just bought a 2010 a few weeks ago. My Ram 4.7 overheated, laid down and died. End of that story. It was towed to a dealership where I used to work and a salesman who was a longtime friend offered me this one. First place I looked, second truck offered and too good a deal to pass up. It was competitively priced for this area and we got a little bit off that for paying cash. One owner, always garaged and it has pages and pages of regular maint. records.
I always thought the second gen double cab looked like it would have a blind spot out the right rear but I was proven wrong. Tow pkg, spray in bed liner and some extra bed tie downs.
Having worked in sales dept. make ready I know where to look in the corners and crevices and this was a well kept truck, not just a good clean up used job.
My only negative thought so far is that I didn't get a Tundra sooner! Are you with me? :D
