I have a 2013 Tundra, Limited, TRD Rock Warrior. I have my basic service done by a local, independent mechanic who I trust and respect. The closest Toyota dealer is about 30 miles from where I live, so I will only use them for warranty work or special repairs.

My mechanic is recommending the use of BG products for engine coolant, differential, transmission, transfer case, and fuel system treatment. In general, these various treatments are recommended by BG every 30,000 miles. If using their product, BG will provide a warranty of up to $4,000 should any of these systems fail assuming that their products are used at the recommended intervals.

While I have a full off-road package, I don't use my Tundra off road and I do not tow any heavy equipment or trailers. I live in snow country and rely on 4WD maybe once or twice a year. Having said that, I notice that the maintenance service requirements provided by Toyota do not generally recommend changing any of these fluids (other than oil) unless warranted by special driving conditions are employed.

I currently have about 43,500 miles on my Tundra. I am one who will maintain the vehicle in accordance with Toyota's recommendations. Does anyone have any experience with the various BG products and should I be investing in these various treatments way more frequently than recommended by Toyota. For most of these systems, Toyota only recommends inspecting (other than engine oil) these features unless there are special driving conditions that would warrant replacement.

I worked at a shop that used it. Was good stuff, mostly helped in the nightmare scenario of full loss of lube pressure for saving the engine. As for regular wear and tear, hard to say without doing some oil analysis.

Thank you for digging into all these costs on services. I'm going to do the BG trans service at reputable place here in CT. But I'm likely going to conduct all the other services myself (spark plugs were easy, just be patient :) )
