Nice job. I kinda wanna put one in my truck, but I have a stupid glass breakage sensor there and zero empty slots.

I am wanting to install one in that exact spot , but am trying with the idea of installing an accessory fuse box to pull battery power from as I want to have at least that and one of the lighter sockets hot at all times. I hate that all the sockets lose power when the ignition is off. So much for leaving your phone charge while you run in a store or something .

Can you take a pic of the fuse tap? I’m trying to find a source for switched power.

    Nice!
I did the same except I added a switch above it and tapped an always on power source. I can use the ports with or without the ignition on.

The factory plug will allow you to play audio files on your receiver. It will charge a phone, but at a slow rate. The one I added has one qc3.0 port and one 2.4a port which charge much faster than the factory usb port does and gaining more ports for charging multiple devices.

Heres what I did, but I did the opposite and used a relay so it's only on when the ignition is.

It's in the console, under the area where the cupholders are.

I plan on using a fuse tap for this.. but am planning on running some wiring to the bed and installing a fuse block there. I use my truck for work and want to install some lights in my tool boxes as well as a small winch. I am having a custom headache rack made with a spot for a 2500 pound winch on it. I use ramps and the winch to pull gang boxes up into the bed of the truck.
