For a 2015 SR5 Tundra..... I will need my own power folding mirrors, and power folding OEM switch (i already have both)

and you will provide the plug n play harness correct?
Is there any way you can add the wire for the puddle lights?

I as going to do the wiring myself based on a youtube video. But would much rather have a plug n play harness.

Did you buy the mirrors used or what? I'm in the same boat on year as yours and would like to do this too

Yes, found some Platinum mirrors on craigslist for $50
They plug right in but the auto-fold, BSM and puddle lights do not work.
The autofold and puddle lights need to be hardwired...but hopefully we can just get a plug n play harness

$50?!? Damn that was one hell of a find. I was clear on the lack of wiring in our trucks for this, but I've read a few write ups and it doesn't seem too tough

    Yeah, I got a steal.
Also got full 1794 interior including seats, door panels and steering wheel for $450 but that's for another thread hahaa

Yea, wiring is not that bad. Basically two wires from the mirror, one to the switch and one to the interior light plug at the kick panel
I was going to just wire it myself, but a plug n play option will save me at least 2 hours or more hahaa

not the product she is selling. Her product physically retrofits the existing manual non-fold mirrors. She has also said in this thread, the provided switch in the kit is the one that must be used. Look at product on the tacoma, it will give you an idea as to what ours will be.

    That works too.
I still have my factory mirrors.
So she is going to provide motors for the mirrors?

I am thinking it would be so much easier to just get a harness and use our OEM folding mirrors that you can easily find 2nd hand.

I also have a 2017 sr5 and recently picked up some platinum mirrors. After reading through this, will I not be able to use the platinum mirrors?

    So looks like three levels.

    1. Add auto fold to trucks already equipped with folding mirrors.

    2. Add wiring needed to make factory power fold mirrors work on lower trims. Limited/SR5/SR

    3. Retrofit non folding mirrors to make them fold like the tacoma kit.

    UPDATE:

I will be starting my own Power Folding thread soon on here so that I start to get the notifications and can reply better to all the questions. Sorry guys. First question I’ve been hearing and noticing is you guys have the mirrors but don’t have the motors and wiring. It all depends on your OEM Connection Plate that Toyota installed inside your mirrors if it will work with the motors or not. I would need someone to remove the back cover (if that is even possible with your Tundra Mirrors like it is the Tacoma Mirrors) so you can snap some pictures for me and post on her or send to me directly. The sooner I get these pics, the sooner I’ll have an answer if those will work. If those won’t work, most likely, I have a connection plate that will and I will put a package together with the motors and harness to sell to you guys. It will be the DIY package. Just like on TacomaWorld. I need your help on this because I do not have a Tundra so I do not know what the inside of your Mirrors look like. I do have access to a 2010 but nothing newer. So can someone please get me pics so I know and can let everyone know what is needed.

Here are some pictures of my last PNP Harness that I have been waiting on to approve. I have just given the approval and it is being made as we speak.

You notice I didn’t use a 3M Tap like I provide in my Kit as I have the correct tools to be able to De-pin the Connector, remove the OEM Terminal, and Crimp and New OEM Terminal with the White Wire attached to the OEM Wire. However, not many people have this option. Therefore, I made the Kit the only way I could at the time which was for people to be able to tap that ACC Wire with a 3M Waite Tap. However, I have now found the BEST Solution for EVERYONE!!!!! I had to add some wires as you can see with the match-up photos here I have posted. I want to make sure every model Truck is covered. There will be a through-n-through wire for each pin location in the Harness whether you need it or not. It will not hurt to have it. You just will not use it if you don’t have the feature for your truck. No big deal. It will make it more Universal. Also, depending on the Truck that purchases the Kit, I will just adjust the pin location of the White Wire but I believe everyone is in the same location which makes it nice. I will obviously double check everything. But here you have the last piece of my Wiring Harness Puzzle. :bananadance:

So I know nothing about your mirrors so please educate me here. I’m assuming you obviously have your adjusting wires here like we do and then you have your motor wires here as well since you guys have made mention you already have the folding motors inside your mirrors? Is this correct? As for my wiring harness, the only wires I would need is the Folding Actuator Motor Wires. There should be two of them. I will open this kit up, when I do, to a small group just like I did the Tacoma group as a test group. I did a group of 10. They pre-paid. When I received the kits, I shipped them to all 10. They installed them and gave me all the feedback. If there was any adjustments, I made all adjustments at that time. There weren’t many at all but maybe one or two. However, it’s nice to do it this way just in case before you do a massive release. I’d rather make sure that the first 10 are aware and know what they are getting themselves into and agree to the process. Then you don’t have all the complaints to deal with when things go wrong with a massive release. So this is my plan moving forward with the Tundra as well. Once the first Testing Group is good to go, I will do a Full Release.

With that said, I will soon be starting a new thread for the Tailgate Lock Kit here soon so here is the PNP Harness Wire Diagrams you all can verify in the meantime.

    84BF2AEE-97B5-4D66-8894-5FAEDA479BE8.jpg

    F6A1CF7D-796C-4A55-8B0D-14B4C357BEC1.jpg

Both of these Kits will be Bolt-N-Lock & Plug-N-Play Power Tailgate Kits for both Generations.

Here is a Pic of the Integrated Harness that I am having made...

    D923F0D6-9CB1-4AED-A759-6F2A7DCD5580.jpg

This is a pic of the PNP Harness Sample for the 3rd Gen Tacoma

    4D639D85-36A1-45BE-B0C7-0EDC11EFCA78.jpg

In the pic it has orange wires but it will be made with Black through-n-through wires. That is just how we distinguish between samples and not samples.

Then it will obviously be paired up with one Actuator

    57D5C143-C323-44D3-A822-82D59925E510.jpg

This is the length of the Integrated Wire Harness before I get asked if it will be long enough for this truck or that truck :) You will also notice that I have made some changes to the Bullet Butt Connectors and now they all match from the Actuator, to the Integrated Harness, to the PNP Harness.

I also have located the the Male and Female Connector for the SR5 model Trucks that have a different connector for their POWER WINDOW. Now when someone orders a Folding Mirror Kit, I will be able to Convert it to their Truck if they have this Connector so it is still Plug-N-Play. Found this one out during the Testing Batch of the Tacoma’s. :)

I dont know much either. on 2015 limited and down, there were no auto folding mirrors, so there are no motor wires in that harness. the only wires present in the harness are prob a ground (or two?), 4 way directional adjustment, mirror heat (2), and turn signal wires are present. The wiring schematic i posted earlier in the thread from toyota should give some more info.

Ok. Yeah. I won’t need that for my harness. What I really need is a picture of inside your mirrors so I can see what you Connection plates look like. Do they already have a spot for the motors to sit or do you need that? For those that have the motors, what do they look like and do you have the two wires in your connector right there?
