Here's my 2006. 168,000 miles. One broken rear leaf on the rear drivers side leaf spring. Leaking rear diff due to rusted out pumpkin. Got an offer online for $3200 at carmax. Almost covers the $ put into it recently.

Sad thing is that toyota hasn't changed anything on the design of the rear diff of their trucks. My 2013 is starting to rust out like my 2006 did, albeit not nearly as bad. I'm thinking I'll hit it with POR15 before winter . Just need to avoid the fill and drain plugs! Also, the springs are beginning to rust pretty bad on my new truck so I'm thinking I'll do those as well? Otherwise, my new truck is OK as far as rust goes. Was wondering if toyota did anything to solve the SAIS pump failure problem that my 2006 experienced?

Congrats man that's a beautiful truck

The sais system's are still a problem on second gens and are a pretty expensive fix. I bypassed my sais on my 07 and have been problem free for over 5 yrs now

Pretty hard to remove rust from the leaf springs unless I remove them. Not planning to do that.

Some pics of the rust on my 2006. I have an offer for $3200 at carmax. Do you think it's worth more? Doubtful I think. Sorry about the duplicate pics.

Is that the best your local market will bear? Might be worth checking...

I wouldn’t trust the rust especially on the frame I would probably take the $3200 and move on. It’s a pity the exterior and interior both look very good

I did end up getting $3200 for my old 2006 at carmax. I know it was probably worth more but I just couldn't sell it with a bad rear spring and bad rear differential. Loving my new 2013 Tundra. Really smooth and quiet engine. So far I'm getting about the same mpg as my old 4.7 L V8.
