Nice. Most of the in dash units don't have hdmi inputs any more. I'm trying to find one that does. Haven't sold the wife on a floating screen like the Pioneers yet. I would be happy if I can find an in dash with hdmi for streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc.

I am so sorry I missed this!!

Yes- I did order and install it. Pretty smooth installation, extra time was taken to really hide the wiring, so it wound up eating several hours.

I have used it, and with the pioneer HU, you can quickly toggle between cams at anytime. The only gripe I have is that there is nothing that allows for decent depth perception. Even using the grid lines, I’ll think that I have pulled up against something, and get out and find that I am still 2 feet away from the object, or line.

I do a better job using my eyes and instinct. BUT- it is nice to have visibility up there when I want.

No worries brother, been a few weeks since I’ve been on here as well. Where did you mount it on the grille? Also are you running power directly to the battery?

I mounted mine to the squarish honey-comb piece just below the emblem/sensor.

Yes- I ran power right to the battery with an inline fuse, and carefully hid all my wires.

Do you think this screen size is big enough? I don’t want to regret getting smaller but I don’t want to block the 3rd ac vent from hitting me

Can you please post a few pictures from different angles. From you perspective as driving. Is it flush? I don’t want to block the 3rd vent

Just to confirm, the factory toyota USB A Jack in the center under the head unit? Crutchfields own website mentions it will not be kept and I assumed thats incorrect but wanted to confirm.

I assume that you are referring to the far left one for audio input? There is an adapter for it. I have one in my 2020.

And you have specifically the " Pioneer 8600nex " head unit?

Yes usb under the stereo. I use it to do firmware updates on the head unit. What doesn’t work for the 2019 is the mini jack audio input

Perfect! I've got a 2021, this headunits in my bookmarks now for purchase, thank you! Honestly I'm almost more excited to get rid of the DSM than I am for the screen size increase and front camera addition.

Any notice in that unit being any faster than stock?

Not sure really. I swapped in a 2020 car play unit for about a week and it was driving me nuts how terrible it was. Thats the only comparison I have and I would say yes, the pioneer is better.

That would be the same as the one in the 2021, what didn't you like about it?

Everything, but specifically the sound and how glitchy it was. The pioneer woke up the speakers in my platinum quite a bit.

I have that exact Joying head unit. Works pretty good. The good stuff, wireless auto android and carplay work very well, display and sound are good and you can install a sim card for data, customer support is very good. The bad, the home screen is not very customizable and the language titles are a little odd, the install can be tricky to get it to fit properly, I had an issue with sound and after some discussion I had to move a wire on the harness and it solved the issue.
