I’ve been looking at a lot of detail vids lately. Some of the guys are a bit much but that guy comes off as a bit of an asshat.

FB posts are starting to pop up left and right about issues with the DPC coating. People are getting brand new bottles where the some of the product has already crystallized

I don't have Facebook so I can't see this stuff. What are the specific issues? Crystallized product? This is unreal. I want my money back. My PayPal dispute should be wrapped up this week, if I don't get refunded from there I will be back on touch with DPC

A reputable company is going to want it back so they can examine it. A reputable company will be questioning their manufacturer to see if this happened to a batch or if something is wrong with the manufacturing process itself. A reputable company will take a lot of steps to ensure a quality product.

I go directly thru my credit card, even if PayPal was the payment gateway. PayPal as a payment option is just garbage unless you're wiring someone money directly.

PayPal dispute has been escalated to a claim

I have been kicked off the DPC Facebook page after 3 posts lol. Oh well I said my piece but I'm sure it has been deleted already. Within minutes of a negative posting, about a dozen fanboys jumped to Scott's defense. The thing that blows my mine is that there are dozens of photos of crystalized shield, yet the people posting are saying its still a great product at a great price so even if it congeals, it's still worth buying lol. Unreal.

I read a few posts where he said he was sending out replacement bottles. I was one of the first to buy shield and received zero offers for compensation for the failed product. I think he's trying to backtrack but can't keep up with the issues. I first contacted him months ago and got nowhere. But publically on FB he is promising replacements. Interesting

As someone just getting into detailing, this type of thing will definitely steer my future purchases. Seems like it's a pretty saturated market, so why does this guy think he can get away with being such a flat out douche?

I could not believe some of the crap I read on his FB group. Downright ridiculous stuff. People saying their bottle turned to goop or crystals, but said they would buy again because its so affordable and even half a bottle is worth it. I can get cquartz or crystal serum for about $10-20 more so I can't understand the logic here. Yes I totally cheaped out and should have spent the extra $20 then but hindsight is 20/20.
Some people were receiving bottles that were brand new and had congealed product in them upon delivery, and they said they still used it because it's so good. These people are brainwashed or something. If a coating can not survive in it's own container then how well will it protect your paint? And for how long? Yet dozens of people still backed the product even though they received an inferior coating. Someone mentioned me being the "guy from tundras.com a few months ago" lol. So whoever it was that spread my disdain for DPC on his FB page....thank you :)
I am so frustrated with the customer service experience at this point I really hope I get my money back. I'm dumbfounded that he is offering free bottles to some unhappy customers but nothing for me, and I was the first person to report an issue. Seems he's trying to save face, but he forgot about me and I'm not gonna let it go. The detailing world is flooded with amazing products that are backed by better people. He will never succeed in making his own line of detailing items if he continues to treat customers like crap. There are a dozen companies that will bend over backwards to make the consumer happy, I have experienced this with other vendors. I hope this joker goes down and goes down hard.

I'd be willing to bet that a lot of those are bought reviews, fake accounts, friend/family, and/or employees.

Looks like Scott is going the Topcoat F11 route with his social media. Ban anyone who speaks negatively about your product.

Then there’s TRC, Shine Supply, Meguair’s, etc. Someone posts a negative comment about one of their products, so they openly discuss their issues in full view of the public.
