Thanks for linking the review. I’ve been looking at this since it came out. I’m very interested in trying it. I’ll probably order some soon.

I tried Adams Spray Ceramic when it came out, and though it was nice and easy at first, it didn’t hold up at all. It was degrading within a few weeks. Funny enough, it has lasted a long time on my shower doors. I guess since it’s not subject to the environment as much, it held up better. I won’t use it on a vehicle again, but it’s useful on shower doors.

Op. I suggest Tac Systems Moonlight. It’s a 9 month silica sealant. Easy to apply. 2-4 hour cure time. Then top it with gyeon wet coat. Stunning results. I’m going with Tac systems products from here on out for protection. Great company and good customer service. Just my experience. Moonlight has a oil carrier. Easy to wipe off and 250ml bottle will do many cars. It’s a “coating” per say. I don’t like full core ceramic coatings because I want to polish the truck once a year. Just can’t keep my hands off the truck. Forensic detail has a video on this combo. Saw the video and was hooked. Other suggestions here are great as well.

WOW! That's an awesome way to run a business.

Sorry for your crappy experience, they won't be in business long with that attitude.

Were you able to fix your trucks finish?

If it was me, I would post this chain of emails on every platform of social media to spread the word and expose their awesomeness

Unfortunately this is the only social medium platform I belong to lol. I dont5have Facebook or Twitter YouTube or Instagram.
I haven't tried to fix the finish yet. I will need to polish the whole truck again someday, and that takes a lot of time to do.

They have 1000s of success stories, but it only takes one bad experience to ruin a business or brand. Guess he forgot to take business 101 classes and remember take care of your customers...

The thing with him is that his videos, especially the earlier ones, actually had some good tips. He started out as someone who was really good at showing ways to save money. That said, from the get go he always came across as very arrogant.
Once he started his own line of products, his channel basically turned into commercials for his own stuff, with him bashing competitors frequently. I started really noticing it when he bashed Meguair’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax. That stuff is definitely legit, and he is the only one I’ve seen knock it.
Anyone who does detailing knows that Meguair’s doesn’t make junk. They’re not my favorite brand, but nothing of theirs I’ve tried was bad.

Yup. I used to find him ensiteful and pretty honest . That all changed when he started seeing dollar signs. It's a shame, he is a complete sellout and total ass. Its honestly the worst customer service I have ever encountered

His story about HAVING to use DPC armour over the shield is an absolute joke. There is no way that anyone would ever put a coating on their car and have to only use specific soaps and toppers for it. It just shows that his products are junk. His armour reminds me a lot of F11, needs to be applied after every wash, stories of non beading surfaces after a single wash. Hes turned into a scammer and it sucks. As for me I'll stick with carpro, shine supply and optimum. I know for a fact I would have gotten a personalized, helpful response from any of those companies regarding my issue. And those companies are enormous compared to "Scott from dallas paint correction". I remember a few stories here about guys talking to and knowing their distribute by name, I know Jason has spoken with the guys at shine supply and Steve and Jim are on calling status with the crew at carpro and waxaddict. Meanwhile scott is too big, too cheap, and too much of a fraud to help out his comparably minuscule customer base.
The failed coating is one issue and ya know what I'm over that, shit happens, its failing and I may have taken that as operator error if not for the bottle of goo I was left with just weeks after it was opened. If it can't survive in a sealed bottle, with light blocked and temps controlled, there is no way itll protect my cars paint in 100° sunny July and negative temps with salty roads in January. Now after hearing stories of Cquartz having a shelf life of several years, I'm even more convinced that this product is junk.

    Unbelievable.....Sorry Sean!

I'd make/file a report with the BBB about him. The social media postings would/ could help, but if you don't already have the accounts, I wouldn't set them up just to post those screenshots. He'd probably delete them or make some shitty excuse blaming you and then block you.
