My BIL got his truck back after almost 3 weeks, unfortunately the leak is even worse than before. Back to the shop and to say the least he is very unhappy.

This thread scares while I wait for my 25 to come.
I was planning on getting it undercoated right away, but with this I will never be able to see the leak.

Sorry for all going through this on low mileage trucks, I'm still anal about mine after 4 yrs and 8k miles, not even driven in the rain yet. I have to add something at this point in reading the message chain. My daily is a 2003 GM with 6.0 LS. I just got through doing a rear main cover/seal leak, common on these. This involves pulling everything from the rear of the block back. The sealer I used was the one GM originally used and I'm sure Toyota has a similar one, since gaskets aren't used much anymore. These sealers won't work unless you clean the crap out of everything over and over. It has to be clean and oil free. You then have to apply the sealer and only tighten it until slight contact. After 24 hrs you then have to torque it to get the correct squeeze. This takes time and I don't think most are done this way which results in failures. The tech's only have so much allotted time to complete the job. Maybe this is what is occuring.
