Watch Trd Jon YouTube channel, he had same issue with door window rattling and just got it fixed. He has it well documented

I think I've seen the video you're referring to.

My dealer is aware of the issue but told me replacement parts were as bad or worse than the originals, and to wait for quality to improve. I guess it has.

I actually ordered these seals that Trd Jon specified, I will compare them to my original ones and will report back

That would be outstanding. I'm curious what the install is like. When it's within my ability, I prefer doing things myself.

Well... Yeah... But these door deals are $233 per each door. I'm planning to compare it to existing ones, return it, and politely ask my dealer to replace it for me.

I already paid $80k to buy my truck, don't need to spend money on something that's defective from the beginning

I just got my 2023 SR with 5k miles back from the dealer, they replaced the Seal between transmission and transfer case and a "bolt plug" in that same place. i just joined this forum to add this post, while searching if my truck was a fluke or somewhat common prob. Uhg I guess not alone.

i havent done a first oil change yet, when i do i will save a sample of oil to see if my original factory oil has dye in it?

if i remember, then report back

Did anyone establish if this is “normal from assembly “?

    noted on mine at 9k.

I brought mine into the dealer over a year ago for the same issue. After monitoring it for a year plus- the leak has not come back. I just brought my truck in for the window rattle issue. I had asked to do a ride along with a master tech. While I had him in the truck, I asked him about this issue. He said it's very common to see assembly lube in this spot. In my case- I had no oil or anything on the ground. Just slight buildup. Toyota monitors it and give me an update at every service. I feel confident it was from assembly.

So nice of them to wipe it and watch it continue to leak for you. A+ service

I’ve got a small drop of something right there at my rear main seal as well. They’ve looked at it a few times and they had plans to tear it apart and replace the seal but when I brought it in, they had hesitation, as did I, and I convinced them to add the dye like others have been doing in the forums. It’s almost a year old with 7k miles. I’ll update what they find next time I bring it in.

Same leak on a 24 with less than 600 miles. Im really hoping this isnt a bigger issue that needs a major tear down or long wait to get fixed. Stopping at dealer this week to see what they say

Well, went to dealer. They replaced rear main seal. 5 days later, leaking again. If this isnt fixed I'm getting rid of it.

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear it's turning into a big issue for you. You should try to initiate a buy back with corporate. I mean a new truck with less than 1000 miles | the couldn't fix it right? Toyota sucks these days. I love my truck but at the same time I hate it. It seems so fragile. I want to get rid of mine. Just waiting for the engine recall to get situated, then hopefully I'll trade it in.

I just checked mine the other day- clean as a whistle. The dealer has monitored mine every time I bring it in for an oil change. No leaks | was most definitely assembly fluid.

Have you taken yours into the dealership to have it looked at? Also, does the fluid bead and drip or is it more like a sludge buildup that stays there?

No this is the first day I realized it. Taking it in asap.

I find it odd if it's assembly fluid, why it took me 5k miles to see it? Seems like my oil is a little low to as it's just above the bottom circle. Hard to tell with the dipstick though.

Did yours happen when you first got it?

Are you seeing fluid in the ground & fluid beading up at the RMS?

I noticed mine under 4000 miles | 6 months of ownership. Not a single drop of oil on my garage floor. I only noticed it while I was putting a Cat shield on the truck. It was a film of an oily grime. Took it to the dealership right away. They put dye on the engine oil | cleaned up the fluid at the RMS. They drove the truck for 100 miles and inspected it under a black lite. No leak detected. It gets monitored every time I bring it in. I literally used to check it weekly. No fluid what so ever.

I have owned Toyotas for almost 20 years and never had a problem. The only repair in the 20 year time span was a worn alternator, but that was kind of expected after 250k km.

I've owned 3 new vehicles in my life.....all Toyotas. This 3rd Gen Tundra has given me the most anxiety to say the least. It's been a great truck for me. The only major issue | non-issue I had was this RMS suspected leak. After 2 years of ownership...the dealership made the correct diagnosis. It was assembly fluid. I do worry about motor and the turbos shitting the bed and how invasive the fix is. Weighing the options of dumping it in the next year or so and ditching Toyota all together. My truck is paid for.....in 2021 I sold my Rav for at the peak of the used car bubble for about 10K more than I paid for it (It was paid off). Dumped that all into the Tundra. So at the end of the day, even with the shitty depreciation....I'm still doing fine.

It only begins leaking while driving.

Then when I park it, it will drip off for 3,4, 5 drops or so then stop. There's oil in many spots underneath around the rms and other spots so I can't tell anymore then that.

That seems weird that you wouldn't see assembly fluid dripping off until about 4k.

2024 Tundra TRD Pro (06/24 build date, purchased 10/24)- 1400 miles and I found this... Seems to be leaking enough to get on the cross member and skid plate.

Could this much be from assembly? I really don't want to let anyone touch my truck if it's a clean off and monitor situation but this seems a little excessive to me. I usually do all my own work (DIYer) however this is my first brand new vehicle, so having to deal with a dealership for warranty items is new and very painful (someone else working on it) for me.

Opsis ... didn't you also post about your truck possibly leaking coolant? And now, this? This absolutely sucks, I hope you can have it remedied at the dealer (as much as you would rather fix it on your own /completely understand as I am the same way/)

Yes, unfortunately. I cleaned up the dried coolant and have been monitoring it. So far looks like the coolant is not leaking any more but I'm watching it like a hawk.

Appointment scheduled with the dealer, I'll report back.

Well, hate to say it but i was one of those guys. 24 Limited. Bought the truck, drove it home 400 miles and it was leaking oil from what we though was the rear main seal in the exact same spot as yours. So dealer replaced rear main seal and it still leaked oil from weep hole between engine case and tranny. Apparently a "freeze plug" was leaking oil. Got corporate involved and they were on top of it! I will say for what it was they had me in and out within a few weeks. They put a new short block and 4000 miles later shes doing fine. No issues. I was worried at first about everything but havent had an issue since. Was i mad? ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS!! But now that i look back at it they gave me a rental Tundra to use, and had a short block ordered and replaced with in 3 weeks total time. So they took care of me, cant complaint there.....

But it looks like you *might* need a short block if its a freeze plug and not the rear main seal. Been there done that. Very frustrating for a brand new truck.
