As a Canadian, I don't think you're allowed to say that. I'd start looking for the RCMP showing up.

No worries, it's just Rush. He's not talking about The Tragically Hip or The Guess Who or even Tom Cochrane...

They're too busy banning our lawfully owned firearms to come after someone for speaking the truth.

...those bands all suck too. Especially The Tragically Hip. I'm trying to think of a Canadian band that is good. Drawing a blank right now though.

Oh, Three Days Grace is apparently Canadian. I guess Gordon Lightfoot has a few decent songs. Yeah, even Nickelback is better than The Hip. Sum 41 and Finger Eleven were popular when I was in high school, so was State of Shock. The Daniel Wesley band if you like reggae type stuff. There you go, some Canadian bands better than The Police, The Hip or Rush. :D

Totally. My point was as a three piece, Nirvana > Rush.

Those three all make music. Rush makes math. :D

YYZ, the rhythm is Morse code for the Toronto airport code. So yeah, correct.
Actually I liked Rush until they got synthesizer heavy. Before that they were a true power trio.
Especially Neal Peart, one of the best drummers ever. And especially great live.

Unpopular opinion (not)-Neal Peart was a better drummer than Ringo Starr.

I'm old (50) and a metal head. I like some other stuff, but for me it's metal, thrash, classic rock, and hard rock. That being said there are many bands that I'm supposed to like from the roots of hard rock, but I mostly can't stand them.

Examples- The Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Pink Floyd, even Jimi Hendrix.

Yes it is. Like everything there are sub-genres, I should have been more specific as in I like that style of metal.
