Yeah, I wish they made an OEM knockoff of what's in the truck now (less bolts)...I have the AJT trim plates for shifter and cup surround. You are right...they don't bolt to anything...steampunk looking if you ask me. And, I noticed the bolts cause flexing of the pieces which do not make them fit as flush as I'd like (nothing a little of 3M auto tape will not handle).

I have the weather tech kind that go in the window channel. They don’t stick out as much about 1 1/2” from the window maybe less. I like them cause when it rains I can crack the windows and get some of that fresh rain air without getting the interior drenched. Also my dogs won’t stop bitching if I don’t have the windows cracked. The ones that go on the outside of the channel I’m not a fan of though.

I Un-apologetically hold to the following very unpopular opinions about E85(in terms of its inherent characteristics and not costs):
:bananadead: I know I'll burn for this, but definitely open to discourse regarding this topic!
    1. E85 is not corrosive and is better than petroleum based fuels
    • E85 has a octane rating of around 105
    • The added benefit of having a cooled intake charged due to its inherent vaporization characteristics
    • The synergistic benefit of a cooled intake charged and high octane results in a significant reduction in knock
    • This may be evidenced by the fact that my "Knock Correction Learning Value" of my tundra always remains at a steady 19.5 - 20(OBD Fusion App via VeePeak wifi dongle), indicating minimal intervention of the ECM to mitigate knock via spark retard
          • I've replicated this on a few occasions when "Splash Blending" to an approximate mixture of 30 ethanol, hence "E30"
    • E85 is not corrosive the way we have been lead to believe
    2. E85 is a renewable fuel source that poses no significant effect or strain on our nations food supply despite that it is processed and manufactured utilizing corn
    3. Optimal Blends of between 20-30% ethanol perform similarly in terms of gas mileage
    3. Burns cleaner and provides a significant reduction in carbon build up of the combustion chamber

    [IMG][IMG]

Another example from a Lancer Evo forum

    https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/e85-ethanol/421179-my-motor-e85.html

35K of use 91 Oct E10 followed by 10K miles driven on E85

Burning ethanol leads to smog. Because of that and the instability of the fuel, I wish we could get E0 87 octane around here. That would also save my dad from having to run 91 in his old boat.

    Not enough....
Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, but Rock lights are 100% pointless unless you are actually rock crawling. I used to ride with people who actually rock crawled....even then, nobody had rock lights.

I see so many brodozers on "TundraCrew" on FB with rock lights. That combined with 24" x 12" wide wheels that cost more than my daily, and a foot tall spacer lift, I don't understand it. I get it, to each their own, but good lord does it look stupid. They are the underglow of 2020.

Rock music didn't get good until the 90's.

The Top 40 stuff these days is for teenage girls and soccer moms.

    Hip hop is for posers.

Gangster rap isn't gangster. Al Capone was a gangster. The Russian mafia are gangsters. The Triad are gangsters. The thugs from the ghettos are rabble at best.

I'd amend your first point add that rock stopped being good a decade later.

top 40 today is tasteless auditory pablum. Like baby food. It has all the appeal of elevator music and less originality.

I listen to a lot of late 60s, early 70s rock.....selected 80s and a ton from the 90s. Probably due to my age, the 90s stuff was when I was a teenager. Lots of PJ, Nirvana, early Beck, Radiohead etc.

If Beastie Boys and Run DMC are hip-hop, then I'm on board. Otherwise, it's all crap to me. I do like some of the early pioneers of Rap/breakdance scene music of that era.

    Gangster rap is a joke.

My favourite rock is from the 60s, 70s and 90s. My favourite metal is from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

    Top 40 has always sucked.

My favourite hip hop is MF DOOM and Aesop Rock.

    I prefer Foo Fighters.

Tundras stock perform just fine for me, stock size AT tires, king shocks is all I’ve done and I love it that way. Plus it’s paid off, I’m leaving it as is and I can buy whatever tire I want they’re cheaper at stock size too. I’m saving for a landcruiser 200.

I'm not a classic rock guy at all other than the odd song here and there.

I'll take Nickelback over Nirvana or the Foo Fighters any day. :D If you look at my rock play list, most of it is actually post-2000.

Other than Shinedown, Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch, there aren't really any bands I can say "yup, love em". I typically only like a handful of songs from any particular artist.

The best thing Kurt Cobain ever did for music was suck start that shotgun.

Nirvana was the dead weight delaying the creation of the Foo Fighters, which is 10x better. In my unpopular opinion, of course.

    Tough crowd. Yikes.

Goes to show you how subjective music is. I didn't realize we had so many music critics in the building.
Ok then. They're no John Mayer

A little harsh to be thankful someone took their own life...but ok.

I find it a little disturbing actually.

I'm still into the music of the 80's New Wave, 2nd British Invasion and the trance techno and EDM that evolved from it.
Depeche Mode is still going strong after 40+ years.

Didn't say I was thankful about him taking his own life. Suicide is tragic. I was just saying that ceasing to make "music" was his greatest contribution to it. Same sentiment as if he had just walked away from it. I just happened to use dark humor to convey the point.

Dark humor helps process crappy situations and events. Laughing at dark humor doesn't mean a lack of awareness about the said situation or event. Openly and freely admit that I'm far from a class act. I'm an acerbic jerk. Asshole. Dick. Whatever you want to call me. Still doesn't change the fact that being offended is a choice, just the same as laughing at messed up stuff.

I should clarify all my previous posts regarding Nirvana. My intent is not to offend anyone. I am simply sharing my opinion as this thread suggested. I can have a differing opinion on something and still have a conversation and be friends (Or at least friendly) with someone. Just wanted to clarify.

I prefer no wave (or Swans, anyway) to new wave and synth-wave (or Perturbator, anyway) to trance and EDM.
I've added them to my list of music to check out.

Am getting close to the break in period on my 19, today had to attend a wake which included a fair amount of highway miles. Decided to let her loose since there were only about 6 other vehicles on the road at the time when it would usually be packed. The wifey looked at me and said, (holy sh''t, this thing hauls ass)..i said yes it does, and here lies the unpopular view. My wife is now not satisfied with her 6cyl Subaru and is now Toyota shopping....:spending:Damn you Tundra...:(
