yea... great for driving your granny to her weekly card game. meanwhile the rest of us are pulling offroad moves that'd make Dominc Toretto soak his white jeans.

I have a healthy amount of ire towards people who run these. I know its unhealthy, and i dont have any reason whatsoever. But i cant help it. Just like flat brim hats and skinny jeans.

This thread is so informative with all these non-sarcastic responses.

I will most certainly not consider purchasing some Bridgestone Revo 3 A/Ts as my next tire.

Would be sufficient for most everyone's needs in the general use catagory, last longer, ride better and overall perform better.

    AT tires look cool though.

    that's the key^^

but you're first statement is not wrong in many (and probably most) cases.

This is (imo) really should be the only consideration with ats as the 3PMSF can impact more than others

NOTE: The Defender LTX M/S Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

The Defender LTX M&S are a great tire...on the road in mostly good weather conditions. If I didn't live in CO, they would be on my truck exclusively.

I have had two buddies stuck on my property with them. One of those two friends got stuck in a snowstorm a few years back on Monarch Pass during a week long off-roading bachelor party. He could not make any more forward movement and slid backwards into a ditch (gladly since the other side was a cliff). Luckily a CDOT plow truck came along and hooked a chain to him and pulled the truck and trailer up the pass to safety. He also could have had a 650.00 ticket for not using chains or having the 3 peak winter rated tires.

Hard to say what could be worse...the tire and wheel combo or the flipped up mirrors.....

Oh, I’d say it’s a bit easier to pin up to a trailer or flip the mirrors out of “moose antler position” than to melt down those wheels to make something useful, even once the tires catch fire.:D

A Ranger in Moab told me a Civic has done Schafer trail. Apparently there's a lot of them that are sedan friendly.

We opted not to try it in the ES.

    Flexing....

The 2013 was stock with the Bridgestone Duelers. Just like my Tundra Plat. I've swapped out the OEM Bridgestone Duelers on our 2020 ES Premium with Bilsteins and Michelin AT2s on all four corners. 1/8" lift in the front to level.
