Unpopular opinion: all terrain tires are stupid

yea... great for driving your granny to her weekly card game. meanwhile the rest of us are pulling offroad moves that'd make Dominc Toretto soak his white jeans.

I'd like to see offroad moves done in a 2nd gen that will make anyone super impressed.

 

I always crack up when a truck goes by me with out of balance all terrain tires . . .
The sound be like 'WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH'

 

Hurts my ears sometimes! It's so stupid

 

I have a healthy amount of ire towards people who run these. I know its unhealthy, and i dont have any reason whatsoever. But i cant help it. Just like flat brim hats and skinny jeans.

I will most certainly not consider purchasing some Bridgestone Revo 3 A/Ts as my next tire.

Would be sufficient for most everyone's needs in the general use catagory, last longer, ride better and overall perform better.

but you're first statement is not wrong in many (and probably most) cases.

This is (imo) really should be the only consideration with ats as the 3PMSF can impact more than others

NOTE: The Defender LTX M/S Highway All-Season tire is NOT a dedicated winter / snow tire. It does NOT meet the severe snow traction requirements and is NOT branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

 

Oh, I’d say it’s a bit easier to pin up to a trailer or flip the mirrors out of “moose antler position” than to melt down those wheels to make something useful, even once the tires catch fire.

 

A Ranger in Moab told me a Civic has done Schafer trail. Apparently there's a lot of them that are sedan friendly.

We opted not to try it in the ES.

The 2013 was stock with the Bridgestone Duelers. Just like my Tundra Plat. I've swapped out the OEM Bridgestone Duelers on our 2020 ES Premium with Bilsteins and Michelin AT2s on all four corners. 1/8" lift in the front to level.

Time to sell my Wildpeak and see if I get my stock Bridgestone Duellers back....those things were awesome in the snow & ice

 

Lol…. It was the torque issue, just wouldn’t go.
Next year will be my revenge tour once I install the Atlas.
