Is this in the same vein as "you can milk anything that has nipples"?

You mean mud terrain. I have AT's on the Rav and the Tundra and they are quiet as a mouse. I have MT's on the Tacoma and they are loud. Viva mud terrain!:mudding:

Lol. If he had highway tires he would crawl right up that rock still. Plenty of grip out west.

I like function over looks. I haven't been in one offroad situation where grip was my issue.. do you even offroad?

Na. Its actually a very big difference between all terrain and highway terrain. I see zero pros of all terrain only cons. Besides looks but we're not fruity fiat bros over here

The street tires that came on my Tundra were mediocre in snow, had a short life and had poor wet traction. They did everything a tire needs to do at a mediocre level but probably were good for an mpg or two over an all terrain. Brand name all terrains do everything better for me on and off road but are a bit noisier and cost me a bit more fuel.

Just because you don't utilize it doesn't mean others don't.

Honestly though. Its not like the tundra is the only body on frame Toyota. If I had money for a 2nd tundra I'd get me a 4runner or a landcruise or an lx430

And deep snow/mud performance. I've had both, and street tires are great until you break about 8 inches of heavier than powder snow. The just slick up and can't clear, same for mud.

None of those options will pull an 8000# camper for me. Already had Tundra #1 for the last 17 years. Wasn’t getting rid of it. Ever.
