    Haha, no I haven't tried the fluid film on the boots yet and the beater ones I have are a dark brown.

    What does work for me is the waterproof wax paste from REI that I applied to my actual dark brown hiking boots. After application, you bake it into the boot via an oven on the lowest setting (warm) for 1/2 hour.

    They will make your boots shiner, but they won't stick out like a sore thumb; they have more of a matte finish IMO. I would expect the same of black boots.

    granpa used to tell me stories of filliNg up his door rockers with leftover oil changes to stop the toyota door rust and it seemed to work on frames to i did check out hand mans bulit thread which someone sent me to and it was fn mind blowing ff is for posers i agree stuff washes off in a year when grease is forever

    It is indeed a lot of info, I still use FF after the grease rub just to touch up shit. The worst part of the grease is the frame dust and dirt is forever too.

    I suppose you last couple can stay in this thread because of your praise for Heather. Waddya say @bmf4069?
