Undecided on what drivetrain to get

    used to own - 2016 MGM SR5 CM Texas Edition
    I have a 4x2 and won't ever need or want a 4x4 EXCEPT when I go to trade it in or sell privately. You'll definitely get more (although you do pay more at first) in the long run. So I think it offsets.

    I still voted 4x4.

    I would go with the 4x4. Honestly I have never heard of any 4x4 issues on the 2nd-3rd generation Tundras. Really the only additional components that require maintenance are the front differential and transfer case. Which is just a differential fluid change every 40k Miles...I think. Then you have the additional driveshaft that needs to have its 2 grease zerks greased every 5k miles. Very minimal maintenance.
