So I have a 14 tundra sr5 crewmax, put some LED bulbs in the vanity mirror and the dome. Like a knucklehead I touched the pliers to the socket when pulling the dome bulbs, which blew the 7.5 fuse for the dome. After replacing it, my SRS, seatbelt, and slip light are all on. Key fob won’t unlock the truck, nor can I lock all doors with the key. Disconnected the battery, replaced the fuse again and put all the old bulbs back. Reconnected the battery and same thing. Any suggestions? I have a decent code reader and multimeter coming tomorrow. Any help would be awesome!

    I second this question.
I have read on other threads like these that there is a fuse under the hood AND inside the cab that will blow when swapping lights like this goes awry.

I went through the cabin fuses and they all check out. Power door locks the dome fuses are all good. I’m starting to think its the dome relay. I got a blue driver code reader but with the truck on its not working, not sure if its defective. Engine light is off the power outlets radio work so I’m lost. Not even the Chiltons manual has anything.

These posts make me think I like the factory light bulbs over the led upgrades I want.

    Making me nervous

Did you try another 7.5A fuse? Just t be sure you don't have a bad replacement fuse? It has happened before.

Just me careful and if unsure pull fuse or negative on battery before replacing. LEDs in cab and cargo lights are worth it.

No need to remove the battery or even disconnect it really. Just don't take anything metal to two electric contact points.

I did the upgrade. And it matches my running board and bed LEDs... couldn’t be happier to have them all match.

We've seen way too many problems posted here that always involved blown fuses or worse when the battery wasn't disconnected when performing electrical related work on our Tunny's.........always disconnect the battery....

Lights ordered from Amazon, will install this weekend in the cabin dome area only as they didn't have the vanity light size. I went with the Sirius 10 pk. They may fit the rear plate and bed box, haven't checked yet.

I'll be disconnecting my battery, can only help and not hurt. I see no reason why I wouldn't take the extra 30 seconds to ensure no power is running to anything while I'm working with electricity.
