having trouble differentiating Total Chaos vs Camburg vs MCM upper control arms.

I don’t want opinions on what you think is better. Just need factual data on the difference in where it puts the spindle in relation to the stock arms.

Also curious about the quality of each of the uniballs. Anyone know the oem part number of the spherical bearing for each so I can look them up?

    Thanks

I recall there being a thread or sticky breaking them all down on here somewhere. I ended up looking at the same 3 when I bought mine. IIRC TC & MCM were very similar in spec as far as what they deliver alignment wise and Camburg had a little higher caster numbers. If I can find the thread I’ll shoot it to you.

I read that thread but I info on the spherical bearing was spotty on mcm and none of them say what the actual location of balljoint/uniball/whatever is.

I was hoping mcm and total chaos would chime in. I know they are active in here.

I've run all of the ones mentioned. Study photos of the arms and pay close attention to rear section of the arm. The part that comes out from the truck closest to the cab. You'l see that TC has a slight bend forward. MCM is straight and Camburg is angled slightly back toward the cab. So what this does is increase the caster in the same order I listed 'em. With TC I'm maxing out adjustments to get in the 4* range. MCM was my favorite cause with the cam tabs fairly neutral I had 4* driver and 4.5* pass. With Camburg I was closer to 7*.

What are ideal numbers to shoot for using and after market UCA? What are the benefits?

It's, in part, a matter of personal preference and in part where your wheel sits in the wheel well. With low caster #s turning is easier and less prone to self centering, more for a track car. Higher caster, the wheel wants to return to center and is a little harder to turn (not a big deal cause we have power steering). There are also benefits in the way the shock angle negotiates bumps off road. Too much caster and you're gonna damage your steering rack and rubbing the back of the wheel well. Other things to watch out for are coil hitting tie rod and or sway bar. First thing to do to an off road Tundra is remove the sway bar.
A lot of the info on this stuff I've gotten from SGU guys, @osidepunker, @papasmurf. They're the guys who've been running the hardest the longest and done more work on their trucks.
