Guy at the parts counter laughed when I brought the old bolt in. Called around, no one has them. I'll need to wait for Stevinson or someone to open tomorrow.

New plan is to finish passenger front then try to get the rears done today. I'll leave it on the jack stands tonight and try to get the new bolt tomorrow.

    Cheers to Murphy.

So, sway bar shouldn't be in the way right here, should it?

    Rotate the Sway bar.
May have to loosen up the Sway bar bushing mounts.

    Ok. Thanks for the tip.

May make another attempt later this week. Out of time for today. Stock parts back on.

That sway bar was a real pain in the ass for me to put back in when I did mine

Like Sean said, take off the sway bar at the frame mounts, get the lowers started below the coil body, then put the tops back in at the frame. Make sure you get both sides in at the a-arms before you put the tops at the frame back in.

Looking for a new UCA bolt rather than paying attention to the conference call. Local dealership parts website has them listed.

    Bolt - $15
    Washer - $20
    Nut - $1.87

How is it that the washer is the most expensive piece? Not that I need them. Just surprised at the pricing.

Trying to come up with some other options. Getting a sawzall blade in there is going to be a tight fit. I'm afraid of the saw jumping and snagging one of the metal brake lines that are right there next to the nut. Wifey wasn't too thrilled yesterday afternoon when she saw me unpacking the sawzall, "WTF do you think you're doing?" Um, nothing. Just trying to fix the truck. :anonymous:

I spoke to Toytec earlier. They might be able to help me out.

Bolt ordered from Stevinson. They'll have it tomorrow, no extra charge for overnight. Didn't realize I could have parts overnighted to the dealership without having to pay for it. Nice little bonus.

Maaaaaaaannnnnnn. I can't wait for this to be over. Well at least knowing the surgery is over.

My surgery was short. Longest part was jack placement on a cut crossmember.

    Keep us posted

Just for that I'm dragging it out into excruciating detail. Play by play. Minute by minute.

I've got the Kinetiks with the heim joints. No washers included with those. I need to use the stock ones.
