    Hello

I bought a 2006 SR5 V8 4WD DC this past Monday. I've been daily driving MR2s since 2011 but my fiance and I just bought a house and will be adding a second doggo to the family this weekend, so I decided to get something a little more practical. I was looking at 4th gen V8 4Runners and GX470's (I'm a fan of the 2UZ), but, ultimately, I wanted a truck, so a Tundra was the best option. I wasn't too crazy about the interior of first gen Tundras (I thought they looked outdated compared to 4Runners of the same year), but I got over that after seeing a double cab in person.

I'd like to keep the temptation to modify this truck low so I can invest in my house and my MR2 and keep this as a super reliable daily driver and family/stuff hauler.

    183k miles

    Tan Leather interior
    Tow hitch receiver
    4WD
    Timing belt done at 160k
    Sunroof

It feels really solid and drives like a dream. It definitely is a massive difference going from a tiny 2000 Spyder to this beast. I have a lot to learn about the truck and general 4WD knowledge. I'm looking forward to what I can learn from this forum.

A little bit about me and my vehicle history:
I've worked on cars since about 2009 when I had a 98 S10 2wd that I lifted. Sold that to buy a 1991 MR2 non-turbo which ended up with a 3.0 3VZFE V6 from a Camry that I installed and wired myself. I drove that during the remainder of my college career in San Antonio, TX and would regularly get driven between SA and my parents' house in Houston. A few months after I finished school, I went back to my parents' house and bought a 2000 MR2 Spyder as a daily driver, allowing the V6 MR2 to finally get some rest. I ended up renting a house Summer 2018 with my fiance and a friend, where I sold the V6 MR2 and bought another 1991 MR2 the next day, this time, a turbo model with T-tops. About a month into owning that car, I replaced the Gen2 3SGTE with a JDM Gen3 3SGTE. So now my stable consists of a 1991 MR2, 2000 MR2 Spyder, and a 2006 Tundra, hence the title of this thread. Oh and I guess the lady's 2012 Corolla S that she wants to trade for a Rav4. We bought our first home in Cypress, TX and will be moving in this weekend from Jersey Village.

Anyways, that's my introduction. I tend to type a lot but talk very little in person. I'll try attaching photos. I have't used forums in a few years. The white MR2 was the V6. The red one is the turbo.
