Quick update, we pulled and laid out a Stage 1 kit to take pictures in order to list it on the site. We did a quick video as well for your viewing pleasure! Hoping to have it on the site shortly. Thanks!

Ok all, we have the kit up and listed on the website here: https://www.turbokits.com/2007-2021-tundra-5-7l-stage-1-turbo-kit-500hp.html

We have a few of them already built and ready to go and we are looking for just a few, like 2 or 3 DIY guys who want to work with us by giving feedback on the whole process from the install to the tuning to the driving, etc. We will be offering about $1000 worth of extras and some discounts as well. Please contact us to go over the details!

We have 90% of the parts for the stage 2, we are just dialing in the final tune and getting some DYNO results before we make it available.

Another great option for any Tundra owner, Turbo, Super or otherwise is the new 340LPH and 4.5bar (65psi) In-Tank Pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator kit. This bump in base pressure will help keep fuel injection patterns stabilized in higher boost applications and will add head room and a level of safety to lower boost applications. While the pump doesn't necessarily create the need for a re-tune. The higher base fuel pressure from the FPR will. So keep that in mind!

Anyway, wanted to share the new product release to you all!

Im curious about the in tank FPR. Does this mean when installing this the FPR on the fuel rail gets eliminated?

Hey Hey, first kit is on the way out. Looks like it will fit into a single 40x20x20 box, at about 110lbs. This will help keep shipping cost down, especially for the INTL customers :)

This specific kit is heading to a DIY customer, who is going to install the Stage 1 on his 2019 and get us some feedback hauling a 7000lb camper. So we'll be getting some solid data on the towing side here as well. Stay tuned for more info as things unfold...

My gum arrived today. The packaging seemed a bit excessive, though. :)PXL_20240321_195549352.jpg PXL_20240321_205605061.jpg PXL_20240321_210958605.jpg PXL_20240321_213251587.jpg

    2019 and yes, 4x4

I'll be posting up all the details on the vehicle and intended use case to this thread so it's all contained in a single location. I'll be sharing the wins (and let be honest, potential fails) of putting the DIY aspect to the test. I'm hoping to start it this weekend and all updates will be here to continue the journal of "Turbo Charging a Tundra".

    I'll start with this:

Like Ken, I have no affiliations with Turbokits. I had to get permission from the boss to do this and I'll be without 1/2 of our family vehicles during the install.
Unlike Ken, this an install of their fully fabricated Stage 1 kit. I'll be doing this in my garage, with my own tools.
Also unlike Ken, I'm only a few hours away from them. Ken and Jesse did the hard work. I'm here to leverage all of that and put the product through its paces in a way Jesse and team haven't really had the opportunity to. While I am hoping for no hiccups, I suspect the first few towing trips of the season will lead to some discussions, lessons learned, and possible triage. For me, this is all about post-sales support and validating some of the increased towing performance without jeopardizing usability or dependability.

Huge shout out to Jesse from Turbokits as well. As Ken has stated, he's great to work with and I'm looking forward to this journey.

I am just really interested in the ground clearance and wondering what a DIYer could pull off to make that better

I have a full set of the "V" brand cat shields. I'm curious about 1) clearance across the bottom, 2) how much I need to cut for the downpipe to enter back inside the frame rails, and 3) how much more (if at all) they will absorb heat vs stock since it appears the spacing will be drastically reduced.
