I'm a beer first guy too. You can drink it all day and still be present. After a few "strong" drinks, not so much. I modified my raft frame to be able to carry 10 case of beer outside of my cooler so I wouldn't run out of beer on Grand Canyon trips. Once you enter, there is no place to resupply for 282 miles.

    also a hugger.

:woot: I'll have some vacation time by then. Assuming nothing major comes up, I'll be there.

I would say probably 7 or 8 days max, depending on the commute. Two little ones at home, there will be some grandparent sharing for sure. I am hopeful to make it work, TBD, we haven't taken a true vacation in about 3 years.

Going that far in that amount of time - I’d suggest foregoing the camper unless you can’t go without it. You’ll spend half your days on the interstate and I like driving way faster than I’d pull a trailer. Maybe hotels and a tent for camping? Or even pick up a rented RV when you get to AZ?

I second the AZ rental if a trailer is a must. I didn’t like pulling the one I borrowed for 2023 the 170 miles I had to travel.

That said, I still haven’t decided if I’m tent camping or seeing if my buddy Dennis wants to pull his trailer and hang with us degens again next year.

4-6 days of that will be driving to and from. So there's that.

Yeah probably something close to AZ on the way so we we aren’t trailering to/from Ohio. Good idea.

    God I hope not.
I’ll have a passenger princess to switch with and a couch in the backseat

We did a similar trip in March - 4,900 miles in 7.5 days. If you don’t put some long days in you’ll be in the truck the whole trip. We went Tucson to Houston Day 1 - Houston to Clearwater Day 2. :eek2:

Bucee’s Brisket sandwiches made it easier.

That's some mileage right there, haha!

I get pretty burned out after 12-14 hours driving. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Too bad he's short on time, because making two weeks out of the trip would be cool.

Yeah, I was gonna say you're more than welcome to caravan with me and whatever TX boys show up to my house. Sedona is roughly 9 hours from here @80mph. If you have a camper or whatever I can rig up whatever rv hookup you need. Just be prepared to hang out with some rowdy 1st gen boys. :D

Also, we have a bucees being built right now. It's a tad out of the way, but we can hit it up on the way out. By tad I mean maybe a 10 minute detour.

They've started on the new one up in the Center of the Universe, supposed to be one of the largest. Do you think if I called Buc-ees corporate office and asked them speed up construction and have it ready for T2S they would do it? Then I could just stop on the way, I have to fuel up about that point anyways.

    I'll bring more Texas beers.
Shiner, Lone Star, St. Arnold's, and Karbach.

So y'all better come prepared to swap beers!
In 2023 I brought a bunch and ended up bringing too many back home.
