Tundras to Sedona - 2025

I'm currently researching casinos in Las Cruces. Thinking I'll leave AZ Sunday, when ever I feel like it, stay the night in a casino along i10 near Las Cruces, NM. Then drive to the river cabin or maybe Casey's house for the night, Monday. Then the last 5hrs home and go to work Tuesday night.

 

Has @Sirfive decided if he's caravaning with us?

 

I think he's still on the fence about going.
But we talked about us prepping his truck, just in case, in the next few weeks.

I'm really upset about not making it this year. I've been trying to go for 4 years and something always comes up. Don't feel great about leaving the wife with a 2 month old for a week. Weekend probably is fine, but a 16 hour drive each way wouldn't be worth it.

 

Bring them along... put them up in a nice plush hotel in Sedona

 

Wife already gave a big negative for that one lol.

 

Jambo is the following weekend and I'll be there. It's in your backyard ... But I get it's not a free event and you have baby bills and shit. So you better show up next HF or Merus meet. Maybe we can do a Barnwell or Bridgeport meet soonish. There's several off-road parks in the hill country that I haven't tried out yet too.

Gilmer is almost the same distance as Austin from where I'm at, but if anything I'll probably day pass it.

 

I'm not sure and I'm not sure. We haven't even started on the axle yet.

 

Im gonna have to bail if grandpa is in the hospital, to stand guard at his door and keep him in there.

I'm leaving for Amarillo as soon as I get off work at 0700 on Tuesday the 22nd.

All this just to get some rear disks like you 2nd and 2nd.5 gens. I don't count 3rd gens. Real tundras have v8s. I won't call them turd gens either. That's a loving name reserved for 2nd.5 gens that got taken away from us.
