2 years in a row now, I have anticipated this event, and registered and bought shirts for the vendors.

2 years in a row now, I have been regretful that i didn't attend. first time, I let work call me away, this year, I just got back from a cross country trip to see to death in the family.

2 years in a row now, I am jealous of all of you fuckers that did get to attend the festivities!

Please post more pics! More pics than you think. Yes Those pics too... Yeah even that pic!

That GPU ate my lunch. I did a full mobo/gpu/cpu/psu/ram swap and spent 6 hours on all while, unknown at the time, my 2nd bought with rona was kicking in. Couldn't get shit to work and had to post on a PC forum for help. We finally decided the gpu was bad. Apparently I bought the last one from newegg so I had to pony up another $30 to get a different one. That one worked fine. Haven't touched it since. It was my first and last time to work on PCs.

    Beginner's question right here:

I'm thinking on joining the trip next year. I have a stock 24' 4x4 limited. What kind of mods are necessary to enjoy the expedition worry free? do i need a lift kit? bigger tires? all kinds of lighting? I have never truly off roaded. Is it rookie friendly?

All you need is a big ice chest and a bunch of beer/booze. Oh, and maybe a tent or blanket or something like that.

The Sedona venue has trails for all builds/skill levels. You’ll be fine as long as you’re willing to watch and learn.

    Also what @Azblue said.

Depends on where it happens. If we go back to Sedona, there's a lot you can do with a stock 4x4. If it's somewhere else, gotta evaluate based on locale.

But it's never a bad idea to start nodding your truck. And buying camping gear. And booze.

A great place to start is to watch the AZ meet & greet section if you are in AZ, folks put together stuff there fairly often and let you know up front whats needed.

    Thanks everyone!

    From what I gather:

    Buy booze.
    Keep buying booze.
    Get some camping gear.
If in doubt, get some more booze.

I'll check that Arizona section @BeauDacious suggested as well.

I really wanted to add the Toyota Lift kit until I almost squashed a Mazda Miata the other day because I couldn't see it on the passenger side. I'll forget about it soon enough and install it then.

Coke is a great mixer/coffee substitute, Gatorade is one of the best hangover cures. I see no problem.
