That’s the one I was thinking of earlier, but banana cleaner sales are up, so i figured why not

 

that forecast is now a little bit colder. Fair warning to everyone to be prepared. We’re in communication with the Forest Service about making sure the site is open and suitable for use (not covered in snow or too muddy, we don’t want jackasses mucking about in mud puddles and destroying the camp site). If the site is not open in time, we’ll have a backup location at lower altitude. No spot selected yet, but we’ll make announcements here, Facebook, Instagram, the website and via an email to everyone registered.

Shirt preorders will close next week. We’re trying to get a super accurate count so we don’t order too many and miss out on giving more money to charity.

We used to discourage trailers, but acknowledge the attraction of them and understand that’s just how some people “camp” (I’ve been known to shower in a friends trailer upon occasion at T2S when I didn’t feel like setting up our own truck-based hot shower).

So yeah, bring a trailer and be comfy! Maybe I’ll even ask to shower in it.

Remember a few years ago at the old spot when Scott said he was going to bed and left the campfire? Came back a half hour later and we asked why he changed his mind. “I couldn’t find my trailer. I’ve been walking around for a half hour.”

Being armed in bed is probably a good idea for deterring the random stray lost and drunk of us trying to find our own beds.

I tried Taco Bell again Sunday night after our trail run, for the first time in maybe twenty years.

They will not be asked to sponsor us.

Literally. Well 10 below to be specific. That’s beyond frigid. I’m just gonna follow Cruz around, cuz where there’s @Cruzer, there’s fire.

 

I’ve got several tents at the house. I’ll make sure to grab an extra.
We’re camping on the trip down and back as well, so I have to have one with me either way.

You’ll want your own sleeping bag. I should have a spare pad I can bring.

Highly recommend the Coleman Instant dome. Super easy and fast like a gazelle, but bigger and cheaper if you look around. Also takes up less space length wise. Fits in my tiny cab

Sid just informed me you can put tickets in for select vendors. I figured it was all just one big pot and they go prize by prize. Good to know for us T2S rookies.

 

How do you do this? Didn't see an option on the website.

 

each raffle item will have a bag attached to it. you put your ticket(s) in the bag for the items you want to try to win.

What sort of items have they raffled off in years past? I won't be able to stay for the raffle so I may appoint @FrenchToasty to be me.

 

Bumpers, wheels, tires, Auxbeam controllers, first aid/bugout bags, local sponsors for glass, audio, mechanical work. The list is quite large.
They usually have it all listed at the registration table when you get there

 

^ also has been TRD Pro suspension (that I didn’t win), cat protection plates, recovery gear etc.

Do they post that list up online anywhere? Sounds like they’re starting to have more universal stuff on there

Might also have to bring my Auxbeam in case someone that doesn’t win is absolutely dying to have one. Should probably actually try to sell it one of these days
