No reason any group couldn’t do this now. At any time of year. From an organizational perspective though— and to sustain positive relationships between event organizers and local forestry and other officials— running everything out of the current (adequate space; near the freeway for easy access for participants, vendors, trailers, outhouses, and emergency vehicles; etc.) the current location is pretty near ideal. There’s a big movement in the Sedona community to restrict access of individually owned 4x4 vehicles to local trails—. I’m not against what y’all are talking about… just adding in some perspective about some of the behind-the-scene considerations that get worked through to keep this event going.

Can’t count it out but can’t make any promises either! I would certainly love to but don’t know where life will take me in a year. Keep me updated though. @Swamp Thing is also local, if he would be interested.

I would love to go! But that’s a year from now. I think most could give a definite answer “yes or no” as it gets closer.

we’re working on a direct dump on the website. More info to follow soon - we did some testing during our leadership meeting tonight. Loved your videos of Devil’s Staircase!

Post pics from Windrock! We were supposed to go while we lived nearby in Ohio 2018-2020, but never actually made it. If you took on Smasher Canyon, you can play on pretty much everything in Windrock as far as I know.

Lisa and I drove out from Ohio for 2019 (and secretly for 2020 when we moved back to AZ and didn’t tell anyone). We’ve also had people drive out from Virginia, Canada, Florida and I think someone said they came out from Nova Scotia, but that was too many campfires ago and I can’t remember right.

We toyed with this idea a few years ago and it didn’t gain much traction at the time. I’m stoked to see you bring it up and we’ll 100% put a team or two together as proper overland detachments. Obviously team sizes will be limited to make it manageable for the teams, but in SGU we find that 5-7 trucks is a great size. Hit me up if you’re down to help plan something like that for next year.

Fucked. I think that’s the right word. Pending third party extended warranty review. Sounds like we spun a rod bearing maybe. Thanks for asking! Will update in a week or two.

7.0 stroker motor parts are in my shopping cart.
(but we also just bought a house that we’re doing a mild remodel on, so we’ll see how everything goes)

Thank you all so much for coming out and making this such a fun time! We’re putting together a survey to capture some of the feedback we heard around campfires and on the trails, but if you have ideas, please post them right here in the thread and we’ll pull them into our leadership meetings.

Love you all and can’t wait to see more pictures!!!

@KevinK Windrock ended up being a bust. A weather front followed us there and presented severely poor weather for several days. Windrock is high on my list so as soon as my son gets out of school for the summer in a couple of weeks we’ll be making a trip there. Will post up photos then.

Definitely down to lead. I think it would most benefit those that make the long multi-state journey just to get to T2S. Only caveat is that they need to be at T2S by Tuesday morning.

Sooooo... it's that time of the year again when I start wondering when will T2S be? :monocle:
Last year T2S overlapped with other events; Texas Jambo will be May 4th-7th. Hoping that it's not during 4/28-30 weekend either cuz I won't be able to make it. Although I wouldn't mind if it was on the same weekend as Jambo as the schedule works out better for me :D
