It'll be nice at least meeting you guys, but yeah I hope we all end up on a run together! It was awesome meeting and talking with @831Tun last year even though we couldn't connect on a trail.

What's the weather like in AZ during this trip? Hotter than Hell, or just Hot as Hell? I assume nights are much cooler? Never been but remember hearing somewhere along the lines of hot as shit during the day and freezing at night

nope more like cool 65-75 during the day in Sedona, and where we camp can get into the 20's and 30's at night... depends on many things, but expect to wear warm stuff at night

We're here in Flagstaff so let us know if we can help out in some way. We have about every tool imaginable and are 5 minutes from the cinders turn-off on hwy89. Hope to do some of the trails with the group.

If there is a trip up to the cinders planned, there is a back exit to Waupataki that goes over to Grand Falls. If it's rained recently it will be flowing. https://www.flagstaff.com/grand-falls-arizona

There is also a 2wd dirt road from Sedona almost the whole way to Waupataki going through Parks and around the north side of the peaks. There are some spots where 80MPH off road is possible. Not that I condone that type of behavior. One spot you can see the edge of the Grand Canyon. Or at least what I'm thinking is the Grand Canyon.

I'd love to see the track or specific road you mention for Sedona to Waupataki. A good handful of us are high speed enthusiasts and might like to add that trail to our 'unofficial list'.

And yes, a whole shitload of us will be at the Cinders for Go Fast Friday in the morning.

I'm also looking for a good 'back way' to Smiley Rock from the upper end of Schnebly Hill Rd. I don't think one exists other than running from I17 at Kachina to Sycamore Canyon, down through Perkinsville and down to Mingus Mtn.
