Last night I lost my truck to a DUI head on collision. I was stopped in a left turn lane and the DUI driver was doing 60+MPH in the opposite direction. My family and I walked away, which I am so grateful for!

That was close to the dreaded overlap head-on collision that has shown to be very bad in the Tundra. Enjoy your family, friends, and everything else in life because you just never know....Glad you all are alright!!!!

Looks like the truck did it’s job. It may not be up to the standards of today’s trucks but it was still great for its time. Imagine that same crash in a 1980 something. The truck probably wouldn’t of looked as bad but the occupants inside would’ve been rattled in the cage.

You and your family are alive. I'm so thankful. Sorry about the Tundra, but in a lesser truck it may have been worse. RIP Tundra. I hope you end up with a new Tundra.

For them to drink, knowing they will soon be drunk and driving is just total disregard for human life. Pond scum.

I am glad to see you and your family are well.

From what my wife said the the lady's face was beat up pretty badly. I guess the Ford A-pillar and air bag took care of of it for me.

Shit man! That car’s door skin laying on the road is unnerving.

Don’t be surprised if the hurt sets in a day or two from now, speaking from experience here. It doesn’t always rear it’s ugly head immediately. In the meantime, don’t say you’re fine. Do get checked out for whiplash injury, and get prompt treatment if needed. That said, hopefully in a couple more days you can still say that you are fine.

We went to the hospital right after the police cleared us to leave. A neighbor was kind enough to take us in and wait for all of us to get checked out. Definitely starting to feel it now though, keeping an eye on our kiddos too.
