Yes, but:
1) moot does not sound like mute
2) if the correct word is used, intent is immediately understood and needs no further working out by the reader, and isn't open to misinterpretation

Plus it makes the speaker/writer sound dumb, even if they are not.

its all perspective. after managing teams of over 300 people, getting my masters, and now managing salaried people; i do not see the errors most of the time. the smartest people i know swear, use the wrong words on occasion, lose their train of thought and often have a social/speech issue. i just learned to move on and complete the goal, unless we are submitting something. that said, I am surrounded by engineers so it is a different world.

Ok, so I'll let the group way (also ) in here...

I've got a bone to pick w/the post office, and I'm thinking about staying up an extra 2 hours this morning so I can drive down there when they are open and speak w/a supervisor...

In my brain, I know this will do absolutely nothing but waste my time. However, I'm pissed and want to vent... what say ye??

 

I have sent two packages out recently that both went to Jacksonville and then got lost for multiple days. One was sent week of a charity and contained items I donated for raffle... they didnt make it. the other was sent a week early for mothers day. didnt make.

I am starting to dislike them more than fedex.

 

If fuming about it is going to keep you up anyway, go down there and give them a piece of your mind. If you can wipe it off your shoe and move on, it will give you a peace of your mind.

 

A year ago I thought there was no carrier that could possibly be worse than FedEx. The USPS has now surpassed FedEx's level of fuckery.

 

Depends on the issue(s) you have. Are you being a Karen or are they being retarded?

 

Oh, try scamazon. They are completely inept.

 

And its amazing to see its not just me... I am seeing people all over the country bitching more and more about them.. Crazy!

 

I've only had minimal issues with scamazon, and they were resolved fairly quickly.

They ignored delivery instructions, delivered outside the delivery window stated, and abandoned one of my packages at an empty house 3 miles away from the address provided. When called on it, they went and got it and then delivered it to my neighbors house instead of mine. They are beyond stupid.

On top of this, my employer is no longer ordering from them since they separated from UPS and are handling their own deliveries because they left packages out on a picnic table on our campus. The kicker, to get to the table you have to go between 3 different buildings which could have all been checked for directions on where to deliver. They treat their employees like shit so only the most retarded and worthless will work for them.

They also have left expensive materials outside on Sunday when our business account has clear hours stated for deliveries.

I don't have words to express the hatred I have for scamazon.

 

Three character traits of people that I despise are thieves, cheaters, and liars....

Yesterday starts off w/a notice that my package is 'out for delivery'...

I wake up w/an 'alert' email (attempted delivery)and no package delivered...

No signature was required, so I look at the tracking and it shows delivery attempted but no access to delivery location (this is bullshit)...

I look in the hall and see my wife had a delivery that did arrive (same vendor)...

Later the wife says, 'I was getting ready to leave today, and I heard a loud thump at the front door; I open the front door and look out to find my package was tossed on top of the front deck/porch area as the driver was speeding away down the road'...

I check her delivery time against my 'attempted delivery', and my 'attempt' was about an hour later...

So, one of two things happened...

1: Driver realized about an hour later he/she forgot to deliver the 2nd package, so instead of driving back and delivering it decided to just go about their day and blame 'access' as the reason for not delivering

2: Driver was too freakin' lazy to get out of their car, and since they couldn't simply drive up along the front porch and toss the package (my package was heavier than the wife's and would clearly risk breaking the glass storm door if tossed from a vehicle) they opted to say f'it I'm just going to be a lazy POS today and only deliver what is convenient for me, but in the meantine I'll just mark this as 'delivery attempted'

....either way, they freakin' lied about the failed delivery attempt

AND felt it would be appropriate to just toss my wife's box up onto the front porch and against the house w/no regard for its contents or the fact it's simply disrespectful to be tossing shit at the side of the house from the driver's seat of your car

 

Truth be told, I've got a brick of peanut butter fudge that would go great w/nice bourbon waiting for my attention...

 

Wow. Yeah, understandable.
My experience with the minor issues have only been personal deliveries to home or family members.
I do order from them for my employer, and I know we've had weekend deliveries when the place is shut down, but they've still managed to make it to my desk so far.

Absolutely go in. That driver needs an ass chewing.

 

Not that this helps, but keep in mind the majority of delivery drivers are not Amazon employees. Even the ones driving the new Rivian vans. These are 3PLs contracted to do the final mile part of the job. these guys have a terrible performance measurement system that encourages short cuts and are fired as fast as they are hired. Bad behavior gets tolerated when driver shortages arrive.

I still blame Amazon, but just some info for those who may not know.
