So, I was talking about the weather warming up earlier... You know my RCI order is going to end up showing up in the middle of our freakin' heat wave

Can you park it in the shade to keep the ground cool under it? It's not a super long job to get installed. You have any local buddies that have a garage they'll let you use for a few hours?

 

I'm just whining; it'll be back in the high 50s to mid 60s within a couple of days.... We get those temp spikes that last 3-4 days at the most. I think we hit 80's 1 or 2 days a year and 70s maybe 10-20 days total...\

Man, I wish we had temps like that. I just wouldn't like the humidity, mud, and bugs that come with it.

You have friends! This place is full of them. We may not be next door, but we are always here to bust your balls or lend a hand.

Surprisingly we don't have many bugs.... We'll get some mosquitos and other small flying crap on warm summer nights when the air isn't moving too well, spiders (not an abundance, just a few), and slugs as it warms up while it's still wet out... really not that bad considering.

Go 20 - 30 miles inland, and it's a different story though. Our bug situation was far worse in Vegas.... Scorpions, fire ants, tarantula hawks, bees, hornets and rattlesnakes!!!

 

I just can't shake the visits I've had to WA and the thousands of spiders and other bugs. It's not like we don't have them here, but I've never walked through our forests and had to hold a stick out it front to break the million webs between trees.

 

Good point, and our blackberry bush population is freakin nuts here. I don't know how many times I've had that shit wrapped around my leg just taking a stroll through what wasn't dense forrest.

I've never been to Wyoming.... Pics of it look pretty incredible though. It seems expansive; probably due to your low population

 

There's a lot of variety in Wyoming. You can get into pine forests, sandy deserts, sage brush scrubland, clay hills, and mountains that are so epic they look fake. Scatter in a couple lakes/reservoirs and that sums up the majority of it. Better be ready for it to snow any day of the year, lots of wind, and not a lot of precipitation. It's big, open, and empty. This last winter is scaring off a lot of the "transplants" as we call them. They were all aghast at the roads being shut down for days and days along with piles of snow that you have to shovel multiple times.

Completely off topic, I'm now craving junk food (this is the downfall of drinking for me as I start to get these cravings and then binge like it's my last day on earth)
