I’m back on the insomnia cycle, so that means you should be good!

 

Sort of. I went to bed early, couldn't sleep for a while. When I did sleep it wasn't real restful, and I kept waking up.

That's a bummer for you, man. Hope you get yours balanced back out. I've been this way for over a decade, so I am used to it. No reason for both of us to be zombies!

It's Friday! Got home from snowboarding at midnight last night, so today could be long...

I picked up a OT shift Sunday night 18:00-06:00 so my week is a little fuckey.
Off today, on tomorrow night, off Monday, on day shift Tues-Thur.
Then my week off!

 

Nice! I wish we had that kind of snow here. Hoping for some by my next days off. I'd love to play in it some.

 

That's no lie. It's been awful here. I'm used to having big snowdrifts and not seeing dirt for weeks at a time. I don't think we've had snow on the ground for more than 3 days, and that has only happened a handful of times. It's going to be a bad year for drought.

 

Lol, I don't even know what day it is. Off today and tomorrow, then on shift Sunday night.

 

All good. My brain shuts off when I get off work too!

 

This truck purrs at 80mph. Must be like that feel-good buzz you get after the 2nd drink... because she’s drinking at 80!

 

I can relate to the truck purring, but not the drinking. I'm boring.

 

Or whatever you do to get to that euphoric state...we all have something.

Good morning. Once again, hate my alarm during the week, but come Saturday I wake up naturally at the same time. WaDaPuk...

 

This is me today.

 

I’ve been lying in bed for about 90 minutes now. That is a good way to start the day.

About to go fire up the TRD exhaust and wake the neighbors. Time to go donut hunting

 

Bring me one. I need the sugar high.

 

Feeling that way this morning

 

I woke up then. Took a leak. Crawled back into bed and slept till 7:30.

 

Would have done the same, but gotta work. Need them dollars to pay the bills.

 

Donut report: Wife read that a local grocery store does amazing donuts. Well, they were better than average grocery store donuts. A bit too sweet on the glazes, but the cakes were light and well cooked. And for $9/doz...I was happy.

Okay, now for the rest of the day...whatever it is

 

Unglazed cake donuts are the best. If I weren't stuck at work all day, I would get one for sure.

My dog has to go to the vet today.


She either ate something bad for her, or she has a tooth that is hurting enough that she doesn't want treats. (Not normal behavior for a pug) Just part of pet ownership, I know, but I'm stuck at work and trying to coordinate someone to take her in but I have to do it through the proxy of my elderly mother. I love my Mom, but it's like trying to tell a small child to go tell another adult something really important, and you just have to hope they convey the point properly. I pray I don't ever get old and dingy enough to make someone else feel the same way. The amount of frustration is excruciating. Couple that with worrying about the health of the sweetest being I've ever had the pleasure of meeting on this planet, and I'm just done.
