Good morning, John. How is life this close to the end of the year?

 

It's been a good year overall and so far everyone has isolated well and avoided illness. I isolated before isolation became poplar. I've never been much of a people person.

Right now I have things back on track with a reorg that lands me with a new team and I'm both excited and terrified of the possibilities in 2021.

 

That all sounds good, and terrifying. I hope your new team has just a bit of common sense. It's harder and harder to find these days, and it makes things so much easier. I've known several people who have have the illness, but all have come through it. Grateful for the blessings, and hoping things stabilize in 2021.

Good morning everyone. Hope you all are doing well and have survived the holiday so far.

Headed out in a few minutes to get a grocery order (Dude, I love online ordering and pick-up) and then I’m going to sit back and watch the storm about to hit us. The next four days is going to be drinks, food and card games.

Then I’ll start to think about work. I’m getting transferred back to my old team soon so looking forward to that...

 

Storm’s on us down here already. Raining sideways. I want to hit the mountain again tomorrow, but need to get done home projects done.

What’s your card game of choice?

 

We are up in Birch Bay for now. Winds all night and the rain just hit. Forecast is for up to 5” in the next few days, but I don’t think we’ll get that.

We have a pile of games we go thru. Big ones right now are The Game, Five Crowns and Skipboo

Very nice! Got a little ice fishin' in on Monday myself. Caught a few rainbows, but damn was it cold. Forgot to take pics too. I'll have to see if my buddy snagged any.

@TundraLaw I wanted to ask you for some info on your HD truck move, and didn't want to further derail other threads. This thread is nothing but derails, so I figured why not.

Anyway, I window shop cars all the time. It's like an addiction, and I really really looked hard at the new 7.3 from Ford. I love the idea of an HD NA V8 gas pickup, and I've not had any bad experiences with Fords. Do you have photos of your truck? Do you mind sharing what kind of incentives were offered or what you paid? Price minus TTL of course, because those vary so widely from place to place.

I played with the build and price tool a big and I about died when I got to the summary page. Simply couldn't afford what they projected it to cost. Still, I want to see one of these things up close someday.

 

I don't have any pics right this second, but I will tell you that I got $500 over invoice, which equated to roughly $4500 off MSRP, which excludes all current incentives. I take delivery of the truck mid January, hopefully. I drove some they had on the lot extensively, and loved the engine and platform. I'd only ever consider Toyota or Ford, and this truck fit my needs. They are super pricey, I'll give you that haha
