I'm out any way, cooked, raw, whatever. I love fishing, hate eating fish. Lucky for the fish I catch I guess, they all get thrown back.

I'm down with that too. I can't make sushi so I'm all about catch and release.

I went fishing with my father when I was a teenager. I understand the passion, but never was interested in it as an adult. All the gear, time and patience needed to catch anything makes $30/lb for fresh king salmon seem very cheap.

This week is one giant Groundhog day...I sit down at my computer in the morning and don't know what day it is or if I even left my desk.

I quite enjoy the rain. Visited Seattle once when I was very young and really enjoyed it. Now days, I don't think you could pay me to go there, but not because of the rain.

Seattle proper is a chitshow and the surrounding area is falling fast to the contagion. It is really unfortunate, because it was an amazing area years ago. Then again, I am charging full steam into my "get off my lawn" phase, so maybe it's just me.

You must just be getting into your late shift. How often do you have to work graveyard?

Yeah, Seattle was a nice visit, and I might visit it again once the crazy simmers down. Who knows.

I've been at work for about 4.5 hours at this point. The 7 on, 7 off rotation of my schedule has me starting graves every 28 days.

You planning to get out and have some fun for the upcoming weekend?

Early morning Tundra Faithful. Well it finally happened.....A healthy doe decided to get up close and personal with my front end this morning on the way to work. I guess I've been lucky, because there are deer everywhere on my commute.

Won't know the true damage till daylight hits, but passenger side fog got knocked out plus some front end damage of course. :(

Oh, well that's a bummer, Ron. I hope it's nothing too terrible and that a decent body shop makes it look like nothing ever happened.

The 7on/7off schedule would be fun if I didn't have any kids...I'd be gone every "off" week.

No big plans this weekend. Some yard work to prep for fall/winter. Winterized the trailer yesterday and just in time, we're getting our first dip into the freezing zone tomorrow night. We bought a crap-top of popcorn and are going to re-watch the 1st season of The Mandalorean to prep for next week's start of season 2. How about you?

Dude, that sucks...post those pics when you get them. Hopefully it is just enough to justify an aftermarket bumper (unless you already have one...then I hope the damage is minimal!)

Not significant, but will get whole bumper replaced and then get it lined X . Suprised there wasn't more damage, that doe was healthy. She was gone when I headed back. Hopefully she survived

Today is Monday number 3, so I will be working through this weekend. Snow is supposed to hit us pretty solidly on Sunday, so I expect power outages and similar issues to arise and make work "exciting" for a bit. Days off should be spent getting off my lazy a$$ and cleaning up a room in the house that has just gotten way too cluttered. Not a lot of motivation these days, but I hope to find a little by then. :notsure:

Glad to see it's not too bad. Maybe some of the pedestrian friendly designs they use on modern vehicles allowed the truck to absorb the impact and not hurt the doe too badly? Hope she makes it.

I can't do that because I haven't researched enough. But I do know if I had an insurance bumper coming I would upgrade. Sounds like @AzureNightmare and @Green Thunder might have some ideas. Where were you when it happened?

Something like this..., don't want a bulky front bumper, don't want the added weight. This one's from Iron Cross

Yep, weight can be an issue. The FF I posted the link to is only ~70ish pounds. Don’t know what the stock craptastic bumper weighs, but my guess you are only adding about 40lbs. A winch- rated bumper is often 125-150lbs based on my limited research... before the winch.
