Not much going on today. Did battle with the jungle this morning.(Cut the grass) Ran out of trash bin space for it because it really is a jungle, so it is only partial until the bins are emptied. Between yard work and laundry, I feel like Sisyphus

Kills me how dumb people are. I mean, I get it, the cop was a dbag in this case. Doesn't mean they all are, and these "protests" are BS. Rioting is not protesting, and the stuff in other cities is asinine. I guarantee cops are just as upset (or more) about this as anybody else. Anti cop dipshits out there causing problems and being aggressive aren't helping anything.

Crazy violent protests in Boston tonight. Governor has sent in 1,000 Mass National Guard troops to suppress rioters. Not sure how any of this makes anything better but damn ... crazy to watch. Got the AR loaded and will be cuddling with that tonight and the PVS14 and helmet will be on the nightstand in case idiots decide to do stupid things during the dark. Absolutely crazy.

 

Opportunistic asswipes making things terrible. A peaceful protest actually has a chance to illicit change, but these riots don't help anyone. Pisses me off. You have rabble rousing manipulators using a tragedy to whip a bunch of sheep minded idiots into violent rioting that overshadows the tragic incident and the individuals involved in it. Maybe we will get lucky and the plague will spread in the masses up jackasses.

Thanks bud. I'm 25 miles away and the land gets more red (and pro-gun) as they leave Boston into the burbs (hell 5 miles away from my house is where the US Revolutionary War started!). Still sucks to watch what is literally the ultimate failure of humankind to have any decency.

 

People being people. Petty, opportunistic, selfish, rude, violent... the list goes on. A person has great potential for good, but in large groups the herd mentality is too easily manipulated, and people start running on emotion instead taking a moment to actually think.

 

Heard about 20 minutes ago on the police radio that neighboring communities are sending SWAT officers to Boston to back up the Mass State Police SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) as well as the Mass National Guard. I wish them the best but this is not a good scenario.

 

Can't tell much from the grainy news chopper video but National Guard is on the ground in Boston. Can't tell if live ammo was issued but they have M4's.
