That’s where I took my Corolla but to a different location then you’re probably going. I had zero issues with them.

That certainly appears to be the case. The car got pretty fracked up compared to my truck. The driver in the Corolla was surrounded by air bags that went off and kept her from getting hurt real bad.

Good morning everyone. I am on my way to check out a first gen Tacoma and we will see how it goes and whether or not I'm going to get this thing after a two-and-a-half-hour drive.

Ruled out the 4Runner. More than we want to pay.
    Looking at
    Tacoma
    Frontier
    Wrangler unlimited.
    Mazda CX-5

Since we had 2 Wranglers before I know the ins and outs.
She test drove the frontier and taco and liked the frontier better. She says she sat up higher. My other daughter has an Xterra with 200k on it so I think either would be reliable.
I’m found a couple of other tacos nearby for her to test drive.
The CX5 I don’t know much about but the one she wrecked was a cx3 that she loved.

So I saw that Tacoma... Looked it over, drove it... Fell in love... Now it's time to crunch numbers and to look up how much it's going to cost to replace some of the things I've noticed that needed some work...like leaf springs them bitches are flat

We’ve gone through 1 Xterra with the 4.0 V6 for 100K and it was okay, and then a Pathfinder with the 4.0 for 100K and it’s been okay.
I don’t like Nissan - but in your situation, I bet the Frontier would fit the bill nicely.
Make sure to do the trans-cooler bypass mod and check the trans fluid to make sure it’s not a milkshake.

Thanks for the tip. My wife and I would prefer the taco. Our soon to be son in law has one and a travel job and it’s impressive how well it’s held up.
The frontier is about as plain as they come. Even the pro version is vanilla.

I think the OME spring pack pack is about $400.
