The books were great when they came out 30 years ago.

I think it also would have been more interesting if they stuck to the original time period of the books instead of modernizing it.

Reacher was great. I just like a solid throat punch. Also didn’t hurt that the dude lights the wife’s fire..

    I knew about the part-time 4wd and the 8.25.
    :fistbump:
I'm not ruling out the WJ though, good bang for the buck on that jeep.

My buddy had a 4.0 powdered WJ that i got to drive and ride in quite a bit.. Not much to write home about with that vehicle and engine package. Now if you were to take a step back and take a look at the 5.9 liter (360 cu) v8 ZJ, now that would bring home the bacon. I still think that an XJ would be the most reliable of all of the cherokee models though.

    Now that sounds fun!

I still think the 4.0 XJ is the goal. It'll eventually be my daughter's first rig in a few years, reliability is key.

If reliability is key, then the key shouldn’t say Jeep

Find an old CJ-5. Put in a 283 and mate it to a T-5 or an AX -15 tranny. A 283 out of a Corvette will kill a T-90 in short order. Don't ask me how I know. Ha!

    Had to edit...CJ5. It was a 57.

Ah, and I generally shy away from anything about real events. Just never my thing.

Also grew up hating history. It was always so dry. The Fat Electrician has helped with this.

I had a RHD Cherokee that I delivered mail with when I was still a mail carrier. It took a lot to keep that thing together, but the 4.0 was pretty solid.

I love my wild Friday nights.

I'm currently digitizing my DVD collection. Well, not all of it. Out of the 250-ish movies I own, I took about 50, and the rest are going away. No need to hold onto them anymore. They've been sitting in my basement for years and the only reason I even looked at them is because I had to make room for a new gun safe.

At least I'm having a couple Goslings & Coke to sip on.

We still have a shit load of DVDs cause we are old, but haven't owned a DVD player in years. We do still have one in our travel trailer that basically never gets used because we don't go camping to stay in the trailer watching TV. We still keep a couple of discs in there though, just in case we get caught in shit weather and have to hide out in the trailer.

For those of us here who like a good war movie like I do, this is a must watch if you haven't seen it before. Not only is it from a war that doesn't really get a lot of attention, but it's also from a different perspective, the German side. Tilly gives this a rating of :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm loading all mine onto an external hard drive that I can plug into anything. I plan to bring it with me when I travel.
