Edit: All sarcasm aside, summer tires are 29.9" in circumference on 22" wheels. I think that's about maxed out for clearance. Winter tires have more room at 29" diameter on 18's.

Hey @OldGuy03 I’m sure you know the river is low :help:
My uncle got a new raft. We’ll be slow floating tomorrow afternoon so I can get used to it. Hopefully Thursday me and my Old Man feel comfortable enough to go a little further up stream to get a little wet

    Thanks for the tag @OldGuy03

I grew up loving baseball had a brief affair with football but thanks to my kids have reconnected to the game stronger than ever.

Dbacks fans naturally being located here so there has been lots of pain recently watching a lot of talent get sold off...

My youngest son is a hardcore baseball kid. He has played as much as possible for the last 4 years or so - he will be 13 in February. Recently started a 13u club team - so grateful to be able to do that with him.

My daughter plays softball - she is on her second year of club ball at 11 years old. Traveling 2 hours away for a tournament for her this weekend. @TRDFerguson we will be at Cactus Yards if you feel like coming by - I'll buy ya a beer! Games at 2, 4, and 6pm.

Definitely on the backside of the season. I've never floated on any of the sections of the Yellowstone before. But looking at some beta there appears to be some good fishing and decent class II/III. I'm assuming you're in MT, maybe around Corwin?

I'm going to Lake Powell for the first time in 3 weeks. Have you explored any part of that? Feels like I'm a kid going to Disneyland.

Hell yeah. Once you start club sports it's a whole new level. And being able to provide that kind of opportunity for your kids is awesome. We started club volleyball with our youngest last year and both have been in club basketball for the past 3 years.

Never in a boat like you have but I've done kayaking trips up into antelope canyon and escalate 15 or so years ago. Are you starting out of Page?

edit: I'm going to look at some maps and clarify this...

Definitely antelope canyon. We started at antelope marina in sea kayaks.

With a smaller boat you can get into a lot of good side canyons where you won't find house boats. However, you will see a lot of wave runner traffic in them as well. Some of those beach camps are just amazing though.

I've also floated into the top of Powell a few times by way of the Colorado River through cataract canyon. We've always taken out where the dirty devil river comes into Powell. I believe you can boat upriver on the Colorado if your coming from bullfrog marina. If you can get to dark canyon that's a really cool place. The river levels are pretty low right now so I'm not entirely sure how far upriver you can get. It's been about 6 years since the last time I ran it. And I know a new rapid formed in the lower section on the float out of the narrow canyon. The sandbars and channels are in constant flux due to the clay and mud bottom that is the bed of that area of Powell.

Honestly no matter where you go Lake Powell is a pretty amazing place. Be sure to catch a sunrise or two out there. The morning light and the glass on the water is a sublime experience.

We are launching from Antelope and meeting friends that will have a houseboat on the mouth of the San Juan arm. Plan to spend one of the days up the Escalante for sure. I can’t wait.
