All the best to your Sister.... I do not know what she is dealing with but I have been Fighting Mantle Cell Lymphoma for almost two years now. As I have seen others say, yes treatments have come a long way in a very short time. Just 5 years ago the prognosis for my diagnosis would have been not good at all. But now treatments can keep it under control for a longer period of time 5 or more years vs just a couple. So whatever your sisters diagnosis keep strong and stay the course.

Also, STAY AWAY FROM DR GOOGLE! do your research via The American Cancer Society and other reputable organizations.

From the outside looking in its easy for me to say just stay strong but stay strong especially when talking to and or around your sister and family. There may be times you just was to break down but that's for your own time. There is always room for compassion but you need to be strong and spread positive reinforcement! My best friend's dad dealt with cancer the last couple years and every time I talked to my friend we reflected on things growing up and did my best to keep his spirits up before we got done talking. Made sure he knew he could talk anytime and if I didn't hear from him I made a point to make contact. My dad is currently dealing with cancer and I am 800+ miles away wich there not alot I can do even if I was 5 miles away, all I can do is stay strong and positive for him when I talk to him, pray for the Lords healing and guidance for the doctors. In my mind the best medicine you personally can give your sister is strength through positivity. If ive over stepped my boundaries I apologize just wanted to share my experience with this type of situation. Be safe, be blessed and I will continue to pray over this!

On a related note for all the older men here: (typically 60+)
Male breast cancer is a thing! Somewhat rare yes, but still a thing.
Have a coworker that was diagnosed several months ago with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. (IDC)
It was caught early, he is undergoing treatment, and is doing well, with a good prognosis.

The reason it was caught early was that he didn't overlook or miss the signs and went to his Doc.
Basically no different than women: ANY changes, lump, swelling, tenderness, discharge, etc.

Pay attention to the old bod gentlemen!
