If you plant a new tree, I recommend a Ginkgo Biloba. They are great trees. Eastern Red Oak would be my second choice for your area, but there is more leaf cleanup with those, and the fall color is not as good.

Have you seen one in person? I think it looks bigger in the pics then it actually is TWSS
It's smaller then the Gladiator. The back seat bottoms touch the front seat backs, I don't see how the back is usable for passengers

Ah, I see, not that wide.

Haven’t seen one yet. I had just heard about them the other day, on a thread here. Can’t remember which one.

We are going to Park City, UT in September, would not be surprised to see one there. They look pretty capable just doing a quick read about them.

    And a turbo.

But the Trialmaster version looks good. Something about a 6 day Scottish off-road trial.

Take that to MOAB, balls out with a kilt. :)

    It can be.

I was worried about Medicare, but researched and found Medicare Advantage. It's also called part C.
You can look on the Medicare website for details, it will tell you insurance companies you can use based on your zip code.

The main drawback I found was a lack of doctors that take it, depending on your location. Our financial guy lives in Fredericksburg VA and said it won't work for him because of lack of providers. I didn't have that problem. Every one of my doctors take it, including the eye doctor, dentist and audiologist.
The plan we're on covers eyes, hearing and dental, Medicare doesn't. You have to pay for supplemental to get those. Plus you have to pay for part D which covers prescriptions. But not with our plan.

The current cost is $185/mo, each, the cost of part B, which is what you pay for Medicare. It's also about what my insurance cost when I was working. Mostly it's better insurance. The main difference is I used to pay 100 for an MRI, now it's 400. Also the hearing aid assistance is less. Fortunately those are both rare expenses.
The only real difference is that I pay about $500 more a year for Ozempic. We don't pay for any other drugs.

As an added benefit, we both get $75/mo to use on groceries, OTC medical supplies or utilities.

If I recall... the City of San Diego PD maintains its own pension (in lieu of a state based pension as most CA LEOs fall under) fund for its officers (at least it used to). Probably 2 decades ago or so, they ended up filing BK and allegedly the pension fund was rolled into the BK and guys either lost their pensions, had them reduced or something like that as a result of the BK.

It is my understanding that several years this decision was overturned and the City was required to pay back like 7.5 million into the pension fund and those that lost their pensions regained them (to what capacity I'm not sure)... I believe since that time the City of SD has either filed BK or was near BK more than once, which I'm sure puts a damper guys that are currently worker and what their outlook is. This unstable situation leaves their guys in a really bad position because if they leave they end up starting over in earning service credit, but if they stay it's an unstable platform...

Also, yes.... pension funds are no different than other high-value accounts. They are targeted by fund managers looking to take over the management of those assets and ultimately a crap ton of politics and manipulations are always in play. This is why it's super important to know who manages your funds and to participate in voting and lobbying (awareness at least) as it pertains to the use and investments within these types of plans.

Our fund is actually guided by some by-laws that prohibit investments w/entities and funds that connected to those considered enemies of the US... It was interesting to see some of the legal action pop up regarding a few of the investments that were in violation of this on behalf of the 'members'. There is some interesting oversight that younger me would have never thought of, considered or gave a rats ass about... but it's good to see stuff like that in place!!

I looked around town and the transformer box / hydrant proximity is not just in front of my place. Pretty common.
The two trees in the front yard were the ones the developer (local farmer that sold all the land the development sits on) "threw in" with the lot. Every lot got two.
The power lines run parallel to the street just beyond the circle of edging around the tree, so not directly in line with the trees.
The stump will be getting ground down and will likely put another tree in roughly the same spot.
Just haven't got 'er done yet.
